Default James Johnson

For anyone who has been folloing the Bulls pre-season then they would have seen a lot of Jame Johnson and Taj Gibson getting praise in Chi town. I do believe that Johnson is in for a ROTY type season next year from how he has been producing so far this pre season. I would say he is really playing with a chip on his shoulder right now. He has really worked over the summer and is in great shape and doing a lot for the Bulls. I know I was pro Johnson to the Raptors in the draft, and still wish we would have taken him. What do you guys think of Johnson, better yet who has interested you most in the pre-season?

I was a proponent of selecting JJ, but I'm happy with DD. Here's something interesting though, according to Many Worlds Interpretation, because the Raptors likely considered drafting Johnson, an alternate reality was created where they actually did. So I'm sure the alternate version of you is enjoying Johnson as a Raptor.

Yeah, but how many passed on Dejuan Blair, he is the best rook thus far points wise and rebounds wise, shooting high clips.

I really like James Johnson. He had good scoring instincts, you know he's tough as a $2 steak. the only red flag that pops up is his age coming out of Wake being 23 and all - old for a rookie. But he's definitely going to push Deng and Ty Thomas for playing time.

Blake Griffin is going to win ROY. He's going to get the most PT and the most attention in offensive schemes.

Look at this -

Oct 7 - Blair erupted for 16 points and 19 rebounds during his first NBA game on Tuesday (22 minutes)

Oct 11 - Blair scored 28 points (11-of-13 FG, 6-of-10 FT) off the bench in San Antonio's preseason victory over Miami on Monday night.

Oct 21 - Blair had 17 points and 10 rebounds during just 15 minutes off the bench Tuesday.

It's incredible how productive he is in such little minutes.

He's definitely a dark-horse for rookie of the year if he can keep producing like that, and I'm sure he'll get more minutes over the course of the year as the Spurs try to keep Duncan's minutes down for the playoffs.
