James Harden

Heres a nice video interview with James Harden in pre Draft preperations plus a nice write up. Pretty impressive... Lost 10-15LBS.

I can't believe he is 6'5 and has a 6'11'' wing span?? Sick shit!!

Let the whoring begin!

He said the magic word when he described himself as versatile.

Really?....i think he will be a top 5 pick.......and he had some big offensive games last season.....

yeah, i disagree Doc. He's less of a risk than any of the guards projected to go after him.

Maybe so and I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong (i.e. see LaMarus Aldridge), but I watched a handful of his games this past season (about 7 or 8) and he didn't impress me in the slightest and didn't have outstanding games games either. :(

Anyhow, don't really care just as long as Colangelo doesn't draft him.

NaturallyStoned 05-19-2009 05:04 PM

oh yeah, i don't really think he's an outstanding pick at 3 or 4 but given the lack of quality he is probably the best two in the draft. DeRozan, Curry, Evans, henderson, even williams who i have a giant man crush on- none of those guys are any more impressive imo.

We end up with the third pick, my guess is BC takes him or trades back a few spots to get him. That's the only scenario where i can envision him ending up in TO.

Harden isn't that bad but he's not a top 3 talent
he can thank a weak draft, he might be the next Roy type player
I think Evans will have a better carrer, maybe even DeRozan

Comparing him to Brandon Roy is an insult if you ask me. For a SG he's slow as molasses and if they have to play him at SF he'll be undersized. He's a bench player (6th man) at best in my opinion.

a scout described him as like B Roy, I just wrote what he said
said he's sneaky athletic like Roy

and Harden is quicker than he was in college
he lost weight and worked on his footwork

I still don't believe it, but am willing to eat crow if I'm wrong. Which I've been known to be from time to time. ;)

We don't know that he lost weight. Chad Ford says that he looks like he lost 10-15 pounds. It could have just been because he was wearing vertical stripes. Honestly - did I miss the empirical evidence?

Hakeem Olajuwon would be the better pick........
