It all depends how you define fluke.

Tug is right though...rarely does a team win a major tournament in any sport without outplaying the majority of teams they played.

And they haven't exactly followed it up with stunning performances since, so that would imply that their team/program really isn't that good.

But at the same time...it's not like they won with an abundance of own goals or something, so fluke probably isn't the right word, as that sort of implies that their winning was due to forces beyond their control.

I'll agree, fluke isnt the right word for it. Perhaps anomoly (SP)?? Basically, they played a boring type of unimaginative soccer, got good goaltending and beat a bunch of teams they should rarely beat in succession. They will never win another major title again and simply qualifying for one is an accomplishment. Sorry to all Greek fans nothing personal, just what i believe. I ignore the personal insults on the forum and get right to the arguement so feel free to say w/e u want regarding my intelligence

Are you guys really taking Kobe/Lebron to Europe seriously? I mean really, they are making it obvious, it's all a ploy to make more money in the U.S for fear of them going to Europe. They are probably both laughing at it right now, not like they're friends or anything, being at every Micheal Phelps win together, every women's basketball game together, and hey even mens/womens vollyball together. They have been chilling and most likely getting hyphy together.
