Magic Jameer Nelson's Season In Jeopardy

Ugh .... there's goes Orlando's season if Jameer is gone. They might have survived without Rashard or Hedo, but not your floor general.

Nelson will decide over the next week whether he will have surgery or attempt rehabilitation. If surgery is the option, his season is likely over. If he passes on the surgery, he'll still most likely be out at least several weeks.

The best-case scenario for the Magic is that Nelson could return in a matter of weeks without needing surgery, then proceed with an operation in the summer if necessary. The risk with this type of injury, however, is that repeated dislocations can result without surgery to stabilize the shoulder.

They are so thin at the 1 too. Man - let the boos rain down in Orlando starting now.

Damn this sucks, I loved Meer this year, one of my faves out of nowhere. He's in the same situation as Wade - rehab and try to make it back for the playoffs, or surgery right now and be 100% by next year. Surgery is the best choice.

Will be interesting to see if Orlando dangles Hedo for a PG like Hinrich this deadline, if they think they can't pay him in the summer. The only thing is Meer really depends on Hedo's playmaking skills so he can be more of a shooting PG, I don't know if Orlando will be as succesful next year if he's the sole guy running the offense.

This is where the Lewis deal really bites them. You can't have a contract like that on your books and outrun the ramifications forever. Shame

It sucks for Orlando, but they have an asset in Fran Vazquez. They can easily dangle the guy for a PG they need. Not a top tier PG mind you, but someone that is adequate enough to get them deep into the playoffs. Hinrich is an option. Orlando though would have to give up some salary. Battie, Cook and Vazquez for Hinrich works.

Tinsley's probably the only starting point they could get, without giving up anything of real value. Horrible contract though...

The thing about Hinrich is that once Nelson comes back next season, Hinrich can be slotted into the 2 post.

Does Vasquez even WANT to come over to the USA though?

Yeah, he expressed interest in coming over this year, but the buy-out was $7 mil for this year. I believe his contract expires at the end of this year.

Grow the fuck up and have some sympathy. The guy's season looks like it's over.
