Iverson Needs More Time To Decide

Allen Iverson still hasn't made a decision on whether to accept a one-year offer from the Grizzlies.

Memphis expects Iverson to give them an answer by the end of the weekend, but there were reports that he would accept or decline by Friday.

The Grizzlies offered Iverson a deal worth at least $3.5 million, but the contract could be worth as much as $4.4 million if the team renounces their rights to Juan Carlos Navarro.

Via Memphis Commercial Appeal
Call me crazy, but I think Houston should look into getting Iverson. They got a nice group of role players with defensive skills but no go-to guy.

Its funny how the Grizz are not only ruining their team by getting Zach Randolph, but in getting both him and Ivy, theyre also ruining their young guys potential to grow, which will absolutely kill the team. You already have 2 ball dominant guys in Gay and Mayo, you add a 3rd in Randolph, and now youre gonna add a 4th in Iverson? Conley is better than Iverson at this point, and having both Randolph and Iverson is going to hurt Mayo and Gays game bigtime.

Lol... we're talking about Mike Conley here... not Chris Paul.

I think he fits for one season. Hell, he is one of the greatest of all time. Just make sure he brings it night in and night out. He would help the young guys out to understanding the roles and the importance of practise.

Conley IS a better overall player at this point. He broke out in the 2nd half of the year.

You poll all 30 gms I bet you not one takes Iverson at this point. Conley is the kind of guy you want running your team, and as a teammate, I dont think theres any question you take a Conley over an Iverson. One runs a team well and one cant make up his terrible defence and selfishness with his scoring anymore.

I agree, a backcourt of brooks and Iverson would be crazy!

I want this to happen just because Iverson, Mayo, Gay, and Randolph playing at the same time would be hilarious, it's like a chucker all-star team. The depature of Isiah's Knicks and the Thuggets last year left a bit of a void that needs to be filled. Maybe they could deal for Corey Maggette or Jamal Crawford by midseason

i kinda disagree with that.....i think brooks is a great explosive young player.....but he is too similar to Iverson for it to work in Huston....brooks and battier is a better backcourt IMO....its more balanced that way....

Wouldn't it be better to have Brooks and Ariza and Battier at SF? Or Brooks and healthy T-Mac and Ariza at SF with Battier off the bench.

There he could probably make himself look like Wilt did when he scored 100. But seriously, he could easily get 25 with the Knicks.

we got alot of critism about iverson... all i know is that iverson is still good he just need to accept that he can't win in his way and let someone do their way. Houston is really good team and one of my favourite team in nba, im really cool with iverson going to houston cos houston really need a leader temporarily due to injuries that their allstar players are going through. Atleast they got Sub Allstar o man Tmac and Iverson... wow 2 scoring champion put together
