I AM a Kobe fanboy, and I disagree with you. Melo would have (and has) beat Kobe 1-on-1. There was a story about how the 2008 Olympic roster played each other in a 1-on-1 game and Melo was the only one to go undefeated. He even beat Kobe. And that was 4 years ago...
