Default Ilyasova to stay with Bucks?

@hoopshype: Free agent forward Ersan Ilyasova is close to an agreement on a five-year, $45 million contract to stay with the Bucks

@hoopshype: The deal is almost finalized and will likely be signed this coming week, Tugsavul said.

That bastard dropped like a 38 on the Blazers. Frickin' humiliated us on the night when Brandon Roy bought a ticket and just walked in amongst the fans, started chillin', then bailed early because we were losing by 40.

They don't call them the Milwaukee Bucks for nothing.

Lame? I know.

That looks like a pretty good contract to me. Those that think he's only had one good year are mistaken. He's a proven entity.

I will say this, Bargnani gets paid more and isn't as good a rebounder or as good defensively. And Ilyasova can score as well, plus he's tougher than Bargnani. So i guess when you really look at it it's a pretty good deal.

Haha - thank you for making a point I didn't really want to make, lest I get accused of constantly hating.

Ryan Anderson got a similar deal ($9 mill per season). So, in this market, yeah, Ilyasova's contract is looking even better.

I think it was pretty good.

As for Ryan Anderson, he's one of my favorite players, him and AD I think will compliment each other very very well IMO. His ability to consistently drain the 3's should open the paint for AD to grab rebounds and get easy put backs. His defense is pretty good - I try to nab him for all of my fantasy leagues cause as a center his versatility is tremendous. I give the Hornets an A+ for that move. I think Gordon is crazy to want to leave that situation, that team is going to be really tough in a couple years if they can gel.

Well, I'll wait and see how it works out before I totally shit it on the deal. I'm just not sure how well Anderson will do when he's not getting primo wide open looks. He looked kinda crappy during the playoffs without Dwight in the lineup. And, although AD may eventually develop into the type of player that utilizes Anderson's shooting, I'm not sure AD will be attracting that type of attention right away.

100% agree, it will take a couple years but absolutely wait and see situation. It will really depend on Marshal and Rivers. If Gordon is there he would open the floor for everyone with the attention he would draw.
