What's the deal with Turner this season? I don't think he's even close to playing like a second overall pick.

Adjustment. At Ohio State he had the ball in his hand every second of the game. In Philly he is learning how to work without the BB in his hands all the time.

He is a type of player that takes time to adjust to new level. Did in HS, Did in College, and is now doing it in the NBA.

I also stated before the draft I thought his game fit college a lot more then it would in the NBA. So far looks that way.

Full court press Iguodala explains elbow incident

Quote:
Iguodala said he was delivering the message that Turner, the second overall pick in the draft, should play his game and stop listening to everybody’s criticisms.

“Spencer wanted him to take the shot, and he didn’t,” Iguodala said. “Both of them were frustrated with each other. I let Evan know to have confidence in himself. I don’t care if he shoots it or not.

sounds like this thread is misleading... Iggy was being a leader. He'd be a great fit here.... we need a stat-stuffing SF to play alongside DD

Well, with the more info, I guess I was wrong.

But you're not really going to take this as being a leader right?

no... lol... just as a selfish reason to push my hope that we bring him here....

we don't need his leadership... just his dynamic two way play... more than most teams do.

Defensively he doesn't bring that much to the table. Offensively he's lost a step or two.

I'd rather take Aaron Affalo (sp) at a much cheaper rate that Igoudala this off season.

I see your point, but not sure Afflalo is able to take over a game... and I think Iggy can at times. I realize he isn't a true stud, but I like our team dynamic and think he'd fit in nicely and bring more credibility too. Afflalo just becomes another guy that doesn't get calls here...

Has Iggy ever taken over a game? Didn't we already have one player here who we thought could completely take over a game and didn't?

And I don't know how much more 'cred' he brings. It doesn't seem like he's doing much in Philly with it right now or ever did.

DeRozan is getting there with getting borderline calls. Match him up with a guy who's becoming one of the better defensive players in the league and a nice offensive game and really you're starting to mold something here. I mean, we've been clamoring for ages for guys like Bruce Bowen, Shane Battier and Raja Bell. Now, we could actually get one.

Again, I see your point... I guess I just see Iggy has a big upgrade over Affalo.... I think Iggy just needs a major change of scenery.

Back in 08 he got a 6yr/80million deal.

Signed to 2012/2013 season with a player option for 2013/2014 year.

We don't have TPE big enough to get Iggy the easy way. But utilizing our expirings we could.
Kleiza, Evans, pick for Iguodala?

So I'm thinking, Iggy being a douche again? That would mean he's been a douche before. So I started to wonder if that was really true. And then I found this -

Yep - I guess that cinches it.

Iggy sucks, stop thinking of wasteful trades that we can piss away assets to get an overrated chump. The only reason he seems half decent is because he plays on a horrible team.

As for ET, I said at the draft (not on here) that he would be a bust to take top 5, he had inflated numbers in college.
