76ers Iggy Agrees to an $80 Milion Dollar Deal with Sixers

Sixers have apparently offered Iggy a six year $80 million dollar deal which averages approximately $13+ million per season.

A fair deal or too much? What are your thoughts?

Ouch... Terrible, terrible contract. Who was offering nearly that much? 10 mil a year for Iggy is generous.

I still think Philly should trade Louis Williams and Thad Young for Mike Miller.

I dont know, a guy who will probably give you 20,5,5,2 for 13 per isnt overpaying. Especially if you count tht he is the type of player that can fill seats.

His game reminds me alot of Shawn Marion and I feel Marion is overpayed. That should show you where I stand.

Marion at 13 would be overpayed. Iggy is a 9/10 per year kind of guy. The 76ers have gone from having a very friendly salary situation to having a murky one with having overpaid Dalembert, Brand is on the hook and Iggy is on the hook for a ton too. They could easily be stuck in a bad cap situation in a few years, not unlike the Magic. That's why I don't like this contract.

You think that a 20ppg, 5rpg, 5asg, 2spg isnt worth 13 million I can respect that but in todays NBA I think it definately is. With Brand on the team I can see his efficiency and assist numbers both going up and the kid got lots of room to grow.

He actually averaged better number last year than Pierce although Iggy didnt have anyone to share the ball with of a calibre like Paul but still.

What would he need to average to justify that amount to you?

When we signed Bosh to his deal he was averaging what 18ppg and 8 rpg?

A bit overpaid (almost everyone in the league is..), but a good signing. Iggy's stats have gone up every year, he's pretty tenacious on D and he's still young. He's the face of that franchise and the core of that franchise.

Ummm.. why?

Thad Young is going to be better than Miller in 2-3 years..and Williams is a perfect 6th man. That would be horrible deal for the Sixers.

More than $13 million per year? Ugh, what a joke.

Josh Smith must be fuming now. Iggy better average 25 ppg for the rest of his career or I will be on his ass every night.

Hes not even a 2nd option on a championship level team and hes getting paid 13 mil. He still cant even shoot. He deserved 10 mil tops but I guess thats the price of young FA's these days. Detroit exposed his major weaknesses

13 mil is a lot and he hasn't proved he can be a guy that can take that last shot of the game to win. This guy can't even shoot properly for crying out loud
