Kevin Durant.
Yes, Kobe outdueled him in this year's playoffs, but the kid gets better and better.
It can only go up from here.

Lebron, hands down.

Wanna know why....

He is learning every year, so far, till now, Kobe has been the guy. But the way I see it, take Kobe and drop him in Cleveland. Take Lebron and drop him in LA. Straight up Swap.

LA wins.

Say whatever you want about lebron being better and I bet lebron will be better. But Lebron will never have that scary WILL power and determination that kobe has. Kobe never loses focus in the playoffs while Lebron has every year.

Lebron may be a better 82 game player, but in the playoffs I pick kobe 10 out of 10 over lebron.

Duh! Of course LAL has a great team and a wayyyy better supporting cast. You can put Durant, Wade and a few others in LAL and they'd win.

Kobe.

I like guys who've won championships and been big parts of championship teams. His defense is underrated, you don't worry about him choking at the line and when you need a closer he's your guy. So, yeah, right now, Kobe.

Kobe keeps you guessing on defense. It's tough to know what he's doing on any one possession because he has so many different moves and release points.

Having said all that this isn't a Kobe vs. LeBron debate (not yet at least) so I'll just say Kobe for now.
OK - Lebron has enough of what Kobe has, plus the size, power, passing and defense. Lebron is the one guy that can practically do it himself, because his own game goes well beyond himself. Kobe, and everyone else can only try to find the line where they aren't killing their team by trying to do too much, and I have to hand it to Kobe for finding that line very nicely often enough, but we all saw how hopeless he was when Shaq left, and how he would just forget about that line altogether.

Just to be different (because Kobe/Bron is getting boring)....

In their primes? KG or TD. Fantastic on both ends with no real weaknesses in their games. I prob take KG since he's a better FT shooter.

And my true wildcard?

Nash. I don't think there's a player in the league (other than Bron) that makes the game easier for his teammates. Playing with him almost guarantees you a career year. Makes scrubs look like players and players look like stars. Likely the most complete offensive player in the league next to Kobe.

Lebron is a better overall player, but I gotta go with Kobe. As much as I hate him, dude is a winner.
