I think there are some definite similarities here with Dwight injured and how well will Nash adapt to his new role.. but yeah, it might come down to which team is playing well together and healthy come playoff time. I'm thinking LA will be that team, but I'm also saying don't write their name on the trophy until the games are played.

I'm interested to see if OKC rolls with the same team in next year's playoffs. Given their financial situation, it's only a matter of time before they shed somebody. One or two of Perkins, Ibaka, Harden will be leaving for more cost effective talent (Harden has the extension coming). I wonder if they do something at the trade deadline rather than waiting until the summer, when they'll have their last chance to extend Harden.

People are counting out the Spurs. I believe the Spurs will upset the Lakers this year.
How? The Spurs struggled a ton with Bynum, and have had a ton of problems with Howard when playing against ORL. Factor in Nash as well who plays very well offensively at least vs SAS and you have a matchup nightmare.

How do you think SAS is going to beat them? Tony Parker and Ginobili would have to score 55+ ppg.

If the right deal is on the table I'm sure they'll take it. Perkins/Ibaka would need to be replaced with somebody of equal caliber - so I can't see OKC getting rid of either for the sake of future seasons with the possibility of a championship in front of them.

If Maynor comes back in similar form to 2010-2011 and Westbrook keeps improving, I think they could afford to move Harden for another piece.

The Lakers have all those things (except coaching). And once again, they are better at every position. Diaw has no chance against Dwight.

He's not horrible by any means. He's still one of the better perimeter defenders in the game and he's strong as shit. He's finally healthy and he's in tip top shape. He'll be fine this season.

MW and Kobe were LA's two best players against OKC

All the Spurs need to do is get Diaw on another fast food diet and then Dwight will not be able to back him down in the post.

I will be sad to see OKC loosing one of their key guys just because small market team can't afford to keep them all. this league will always belong to a big market teams unless a hard cap is implemented.

part of me wants better competition and more even distribution of talent but then I think about how thin that talent will be spread across 30 NBA teams...makes me wonder what NBA I want to watch.

Spurs will be a solid playoff team as long as Pop will be their coach period.

Its not even impressive, its just showing more of a broken league. I don't even care to watch the Lakers, its a fantasy team on 2k12, not interesting at all to me.

This... 25 of 30 teams are pretty much hopeless in comparison to the top contenders. There really isn't anything to look forward to other than making the playoffs as a consolation for most other teams. It's so pathetic.

And imo the only one who has a chance to contain Dwight is Perkins.
OKC matches up better than any team against the lakers. Theyre the only guys i see stopping the Lakers.
