It was about, and likely still is, the Nets looking to grab Howard. They need to Jack Hump up just in case he can be used as part of a trade should it happen. Basically Hump is benefiting from the Howard demand, even better, Hump and Howard share an agent, so, the agent is likely driving it all whether there is any trad imminent or not.

The NBA, where shady, greedy agents destroying the League happens!

Holy crap. Remember when he used to be shit in Toronto, and wasn't ever expected to make over 5 mil max. :cookie:

He just chucked shots left and right. Sure he was an okay hustle player but his shot selection was terrible.

Windex 07-17-2012 11:38 AM

the amount of money doesn't really matter for teams willing to spend. the length of the contract is what ruins the teams flexibility. if he doesn't play like a $12 mil PF next season they can trade him as an expiring :cookie:

Windex 07-17-2012 11:39 AM

every player on their starting line up makes at least $10 mil a year :police:

thought 07-17-2012 11:41 AM

there's no question he's a good fit...he can protect NJ's creampuff centre on the boards, like dude is an animal on the glass and a pretty good finisher to boot. but at that number? sheeeit.

Superjudge 07-17-2012 11:44 AM

He's good and all, I just really think the Nets still believe they can pull something off for Howard, and thus, the bigger payday for Hump.

It's interesting to say the least.

thought 07-17-2012 11:49 AM

but if you're the magic and you were initially looking at a bynum swap...why the fuck would you ever want hump at 12 million?

what's that saying? shooting yourself in the nose to smell the flowers? or something? i dunno. but i thinkit would apply here if i knew what it was.
