Wow. SVG should just quit, then the Clippers should fire Vinny Del Negro, hire SVG, and SVG can shove it back in Howard's face by winning a title.

If i'm SVG, i want to be fired at this point...because i know i'll have at least 15 offers from other teams on my answering machine by the time i drive from the arena to my house

the organization is to blame

Quote:
Dwight Howard has called for the firing of Stan Van Gundy since the summer of 2011, according to a source close to the coach.

“The organization has allowed Dwight to set up the coach,” a league source close to management and the coach said. “They have to have a reason to blame someone. If they win, and he gets fired, everyone will know it’s on the player. Losing gives everyone the out when the season’s over, especially Howard.”

Van Gundy confirmed to reporters on Thursday that he had been told by Orlando management that Howard wants him fired.

I could easily be wrong. But with a better coach, healthy Billups, upgrades to the bench, I don't think it is impossible for them to win a title. CP3 dragged the Hornets into the playoffs on will alone.

Clippers discussion aside. SVG gets my sympathies.

This is really turning into a huge shit show in Orlando. First off, Dwight fuck you. Your a no good piece of shit that lies on the time. I laugh at the fact he said he was staying loyal haha. Fuck off man, if Dwight was so called "loyal" he would have signed a max salary extension already. Number two, SVG is a fucking god. Thank you for throwing that shit back at Howard's face. I am so sick of players bitching about coaches, management, etc. You millionaire shit heads get paid to play a sport, shut up and deal with it. We all work with or for people we don't like, but at the end of the day we go to work deal with the bullshit and make a living. So I support SVG 100% because once he gets fired, he will sign with a new team within a week's time. Dwight will be a pussy and leave, and when he does I hope he never wins a championship because he doesn't deserve one. Orlando's management really sucks, but the people I pity are their fans because they pay hard earned money to see that team and in a few years they will be at the bottom of the league again.

Dwight was one of the superstars I liked until this. He's changed so much since his rookie year off the court, and for the worse. Uch.

I really hope the Clippers get SVG. If they do, watch out.

Default Who was "killing" Sam Mitchel behind his back?

In his interview concerning SVG, Sam Mitchell said one of the players was "Killing him behind his back". I wonder who that was. He didn't want to name him but one tip is he said, fortunately this player is no longer in the league.

I wonder if it was T.J. Ford considering the PG controversy they had in Toronto.

I'm curious. Which coach does D12 have in mind that is better than SVG?

Nah I kid man. The only thing holding the Clippers back right now is their coach. SVG would be a huge upgrade in every aspect over Vinny. And having Billups back next season will be big...

Howard goes from superstar to douchebag in 2 days. So well done... he can leave Orlando and nobody will much care, and they will never forget this garbage. Reminds me of Vince Carter. Maybe he should win something first. His mouth keeps writing cheques and his talent doesn't have the cash. His effort against the Knicks last night was a complete embarassment.

I don't think they resign him and fire SVG... that's just a death knell for this team.

same thing will happen here like it did in Cleveland

fire coach to appease star player... star player bolts soon after

and the owner is left with blue balls

The Magic told Dwight Howard before the deadline that “he would be a Laker by the end of the day,” according to one source, if he did not sign an agreement to waive the opt-out clause for the final season of his contract.

Even though Howard's camp had permission to talk to the Nets, Mavericks and Lakers, he only wanted to go to the Nets.

“He was adamant: New Jersey, New Jersey, New Jersey,” a source claimed.

The Magic want to avoid a repeat of Howard's indecisiveness this summer.

“[The Magic] do not want to go through it all again,” said one source who claimed Orlando wants a commitment from Howard on an extension before training camp to avoid his bolting as a free agent in 2013. “[The Magic] are determined to avoid another year of that.”

Orlando preferred the trade offer from the Lakers that would include Andrew Bynum, Devin Ebanks and Steve Blake.
