How the Hawks Play

I was watching the hawks game against Boston last night and against Orlando tonight and i dont know if its just me but most of the times that joe johnson touches the ball they run an isolation for him and he tries to do his own thing. Other times, when they missed three shots in a row and josh smith got the ball, they ran an isolation for him and he hit his shot of front rim and it didn't go in.

i dont know if its just me or not but what are your thoughts about the way they play? are you seeing what i'm seeing??

Yeah, in the half court they pretty much leave it to Joe Johnson and Crawford to create.. But that's only when you can slow them down enough and force them to set up their half court O...

Thats going to be a big problem for them come playoff time though. Although they have a really good 8 man rotation with a lot of firepower, their offence stagnates in 2nd halfs especially. When they get ball and player movement and just dont resort to isos theyre one of if not the toughest teams in the league to guard because even if they miss the shot they have 4 guys that go to the offensive boards.

With the isos theyre easy to guard and your players are still in position on the defensive side of the ball to rebound, when they move the defence with movement theyre nearly impossible to stop because theyre a bunch of jumping jacks out there and they can really shoot the ball.

Having an X factor off the bench like Crawford is huge though, but who knows how he'll perform in his first playoffs.

Theyre still 1 player and a really good head coach away IMO.

For all I care I hope both Alanta and Boston has their equal shares of losses and us Raps catching up; though we have 2 more games with hawks and 1 more game with celtics; even if we lose all the game to Alanta and Boston thus far but in april when we play Boston and Alanta 2 days later I hope we beat them in their last game and take the 3rd spot ^_^. I would wet myself if that happens
