Lightbulb How to fix players forcing trades

I just thought of a way to fix players like CP3 and Carmelo trying to force a trade out of the respected teams.

What if when players don't play they only get paid the nba contract minimum.

This will motiavte players to play harder to get minutes, and bench players that are scrubs will still get there money.

Players who are expensive and acting like little bitches will just hit the bench and lose there pay and playing time.

I no it's a little too stern but still I think could work, especially since there is a lot of room for improvement.

Problem #1: You have to get the players to agree.

There's no way the players will agree to put the control over their salaries directly in the hands of coaches.

I think that if anything you penalize any player that demands a trade while under contract with a team (obviously still under contract). Maybe if a player doesn't honour their current deal they get 20% shaved off their next contract with whom ever they sign with. Or whatever contract they sign next is dropped to the lower level maximum.

Suspend them for a season, its not like theres enough parody in the league for it to matter. And you'll send a clear message the very first time, NBA players have no respect for their own game (or at least most) If you get payed millions of dollars a year to do something you "love" (play basketball/sport) and you bitch and complain, get the fuck out.

Honestly, if I played a pro sport, I'd sign to a team for a mill a year, no matter my talent level, why? Because I'm not a greedy fuck and a mill is way beyond enough.

Ya that's what basicly happens they get put on probation by the coach, and if there still being stupid the coach will keep them on the bench.

But doesn't the NBA decide the next CBA and owners would love this, they would never be losing money by signing a bad contract.

Thumbs down

why even try, when I guy is done and wants out its time to trade even if the player is valuable

in hte long run its best, allows the rebuild to move along

some guys do have legit reasons wanting to leave, no playoffs, no hope for the future...

but Carmelo is probably the worst i've ever seen, he is leaving because he wants to move to New York so his Wife can work on T.V, considereing the difference in what they earn is like a paper boy to a doctor this is joke, plus lets face it his Wife probably shouldn't be on T.V at this point no one cares

its not even the right reason to leave, Denver has put together a great team, if there is anyone to blame why they haven't got it done its Anthony,

two years ago against the Lakers that series was anyones, it was there for the taking but they could beat a Laker team without Bynum, personally I thought they should have won that series but Kobe proved to be to much

Carmelo Anthony see what happen to Mcgrady and Carter, that is your future my friend, when you leave for hte wrong reason the basketballs god will punish you, don't why but some how always works that way,
