Houston looking to deal Brooks?

Fuck, this is someone we need to try and get.

That appears to be the story for Rockets guard Aaron Brooks as Newsday reports that Houston is "going to try hard" to move Brooks before the Feb. 24 deadline. The report also says the Knicks are interested in acquiring Brooks.

Brooks is a restricted free agent after this season, so that will bring down the price tag. He's making $2 million this season. As pointed out by Posting and Toasting, a potential trade could include Kelenna Azubuike's expiring deal ($3.3 million) that is eligible to have 80 percent covered by insurance.

Guess that HOU is loving Lowry now... wow... I thought that Brooks was near untradeable at one point.

Brooks is too much of chucker and he has become a bad decision maker.

Lowry really stepped into the role really nicely while Brooks was gone. Plus, I prefer Lowry's defence over Brooks who's more of a scorer.

I've never been a huge Aaron Brooks fan anyways.

Not much of a fan of undersized guards, but he's pretty quick, can get to the basket and can shoot from the outside, three things that I think would benefit the Raps.

The fact that he's sulking and walking out in the middle of games does nothing for me though.

the raps need a playmaker and brooks is not it.

The word chucker is so overused. Whenever someone doesn't like a player they call him a chucker.

Um...no, it's used when a guy is a volume shooter who makes a low percentage.

Brooks led the league in 3 point attempts last season, but barely cracked the top 20 in shooting %.
