Hollinger: Nets Plan for a Busy Summer

Huh ... things in New Jersey could be interesting. Check out what Hollinger has to say:

No, he doesn't pair well with Jefferson, but don't sweat it R.J. would probably be going, too. But Lewis is a bit older than a rebuilding team would prefer he'll be 29 in August. Plus, he's got five more years of max money coming his way, making him even more of a cap-killer than Vince.

Andrew Bynum: Here's one worth looking into. With L.A. functioning so well with a frontcourt of Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom while Bynum recuperates from a knee injury, one wonders if they'd be willing to move him, rather than extend the contract of the 20-year-old, 7-footer this summer.

Plus, Bynum's a Jersey boy (Metuchen) who presumably might not mind leaving Hollywood to come home. Obviously, this would require a huge bounty on the Nets' part. But if his knee recovers, the Nets have themselves a low-post building block for the next decade-plus.

I think at this point, the Nets acquiring Bynum is a pipe dream because I can't see Kupchak letting Andrew go this summer. Not after the breakthrough season he had before his injury. :(

But Vince going home to Orlando would be priceless. :haha:

That would mean both TMac and Wince would suck in front of their home crowds.

I might have a new non Raptor favorite team. (need to find one now that Thomas no longer coaches the Knicks)

I wouldn't mind RJ.

How about someting like RJ for Ford & Kapono

I would hate to let go of Kapono but its a possibility

Nets dont have anything to get Bynum now that the whole Kobe and Kidd situation is done.

Itd be a great deal for ORL to get VC for Shard though.

If Orlando gets VC,+tension from this year's playoffs,=Epic boos from Toronto.

looks like things worked out in Jersey:reporter:

As of right now, it looks like we have 13/15 players:

Lowry/Calderon
DeRozan/Fields/Ross
JJ/Kleiza
Bargs/Davis/ACY
Val/Amir/Gray

If for whatever reason there's no more trades that happen before the start of the season, who will BC sign to fill up the last two spots?

Sonny Weems (RFA)? Magloire? 3rd string pg?
A low cost SF (Barnes, Pietrus) and one of the above?

Kirby 07-08-2012 02:54 AM

uhhhh..?
did you get re-directed here?

Raptors1995 07-08-2012 02:54 AM
