Highway robbery for Sac-Town. Holy cow. :police:

Amazing deal for Cleveland. Casspi is better than Hickson.... he's just not as good as advertised. A first included and Cleveland is winning this handily.

I don't know about that, a front court of Hickson and Cousins looks pretty nice. Depends if that pick is lottery protected or not.

i like this trade for the cavs. they got TT and varajao and caspi will give them a sg with size as opposed to boobie. and the future 1st is really valueable, add to the fact that the kings will continue to suck

damn this shit.....raptors have been rebuilding for like ever and looks like cavs are making giant steps....

jeffb 06-30-2011 02:13 PM

Gotta say though, Cleveland is starting to look pretty decent:

Davis
Parker
Caspi
Thompson
Varejao

Bench- Irving, Sessions, Jamison, Gibson, Gee, Graham

And they have 4 PG's, which means Sessions or Maybe Davis can be move for further depth.

Bill Haverchuck 06-30-2011 02:17 PM

It could be a good deal for both teams, depending on the details to follow. If that pick is not protected, this could work out really well for Cleveland.

RaptorsandBuckeye FaN 06-30-2011 02:50 PM

Very protected pick.

Pick is fully protected in 2012. If Kings make playoffs Cavs get it.
2013 - Protected 1-14
2014 - Protected 1-13
2015 - Protected 1-12
2016-17 - Protected top 10
2018 - Cavs just get a second round pick

INSIDER 06-30-2011 04:32 PM

a frontcourt of hickson and cousins = the dumbest frontcourt in the league.
both of these guys are idiots.

the funny thing is that they are both oozing with potential and talent, yet they will probably piss it away slowly and surely over their careers.

Good move for CLE.

They get Casspi who'll finally get a chance to show why he belongs in the league and has another 2 years locked into his rookie deal. A future 1st as well.

Hickson who is a RFA after this year will likely ask for more money. Considering the fact that he's not even that special of a talent, he'll probably get it from some stupid GM.

js12 06-30-2011 04:45 PM

Makes great sense for Cleveland. Also opens up minutes for Tristan Thompson.

jj33 06-30-2011 06:02 PM

If they don't get another big, Tristan is starting for sure!

That's still one of the worst lineups in the league.

Kings look MUCH better:

Fredette/Thomas
Evans/Garcia/Daniels
Thornton/Salmons/Honeycutt
Hickson/Thompson/
Cousins/Dalembert/Whiteside

Hopefully Thornton can transition to SF, he was on fire late last season..

Should be fighting for the playoffs next year.

They should, they've been collective lottery picks for what seems like eons. Cleveland is just now picking up the pieces after Lebron. And ultimately Cleveland is not that far from Sac talent wise. Jimmer will be a bust.

You quoted me when I didn't include Salmons at SF, should be a decent pickup.

Mehh, not a fan of his to be honest. He tends to do well for a while and then wear out his welcome pretty quickly. Him going back there doesn't impress me one bit.

You also have Dalembert there and it's not lock he's back....

Yeah, every time I think of him I think of the Bulls Celtics series, that's how he gets you. lol

jeffb 06-30-2011 06:40 PM

If Dalembert doesn't re-sign it's essentially:

Beno, Caspi, Dalembert OUT

Salmons, Freddette, Hickson IN
