I hate the knicks. but since they're up against the heat, I love them. Especially since they're winning

Melo and Stoudemire stepped it up huge defensively. Something they are not known to do. If they can play defense like this I'm sure the rest of the team will follow in their lead. Billups was clutch as usual and his defense is always there.

Love it, great win by the Knicks. Lebron looks like he's starting to regret ever asking for more competition in the league lol.

Man lebron got schooled by stat. Couldn't hit the 3, man he had 2 chances to save his team. This wasn't a problem in ohio

What an ugly, ugly game.

I realized why I can't watch the Knicks for the most part. There's way too many bad shots and 3s being hoisted up. I find it hard to watch.

And why the hell were the Heat trying to shoot 3s also?

Really, the Knicks shouldn't be the happiest team in the world. 8 out of 10 times, Miami wins that game. You can't go down 15 on the road and just shoot your way back. You'll win sometimes, but mostly lose.

It was actually a great game on a poor shooting night for both teams. Each team took 3's because they were generally open. Yeah you could argue they didn't need any 3's but usually when you have an open look, you take it. You can't really fault either team for taking 3's. Eddie House was off today as was Landry Fields. Great game. I'm glad it went down to the wire and the Knicks took it. Melo is a beast.

Really, so shooting 3s with 12-15 seconds left in the shot clock is good offense? How many 3s did melo shoot with a hand in his face? There was just no good ball movement.

And really, that's how the Knicks play. They shoot a lot, a lot of 3s.

Again, for me, it was a 'great game' in the sense that it came down to the final seconds. But it was not good not a 'great game' in the sense of watching two teams play good basketball.

Yes sir, and this needs to be done SOON... also I hate how New York is now a Quality opponent in the likes of Chicago and Boston

Quote:
Spoelstra: We Will Have Our Breakthrough Against Quality Opponent

The Heat lost a 91-86 decision to the Knicks on Sunday night on their homecourt.

Miami has recently lost to Boston, Chicago and New York, as their inability to beat higher quality opponents continues to be a question.

“We will have our breakthrough,” Erik Spoesltra said. “As painful as it is right now, there will be a time when we break through, execute and win a game like this against a quality opponent going down the stretch. What you hope is that the pain of a game like this resonates enough to make a change.”

why do you hate that? They might have the most compatible big three in the league... People underestimate Amare and Melo's ability to play D when necessary (Vince also had this complaint and was very capable of shutdown D) and Chauncey just wins.... period.

In all the hype about the big three going to Souf Beach, everyone forgets how much of a team game it is, and how important chemistry and role definition becomes in the playoffs or even much-hyped games.

Melo played a very nice defensive game last night, something that was overshadowed by a lot of people.

I thought Chauncey was done earlier in the year, then I saw last night he was shooting 44% and 43% from 3 after starting the year at 35% from the field. Unreal. Dudes still got it.
