Heat Heat interested in aquiring Greg Oden?

Quote:
In a question and answer blog post, Ira Winderman suggests the Heat may be interested in acquiring Greg Oden from the Blazers.

"I do think there is an outside chance the Heat makes a run at Greg Oden, or at least sees what the asking price would be," writes Winderman.

Winderman has covered the Heat for 22 years.

dont see it happening, but if it did, JO/oden would be the worst combination of knees in the history of sports.

What could Miami offer Portland that Portland would actually want?

Its so funny, everybody around the association is talkin about Bargs. Bargs a Draft bust?

Lol, and what is Oden? This guys just a big disappointment, and his knees are getting worse. He has tons of talent but hes a non factor, coz of all his injuries.

Portland wont be happy with him...

If hes healthy hes going to be awesome and one of the biggest game changers in the league. When he played this year he was a defensive force.

But obviously thats a huge if.

As much as Oden has been injury prone so far in his career, hes exactly the type of (Centre) player the Raps need IMO. IF hes healthy next year I wouldnt be surprised to see him compete with Howard for defensive player of the year.

If only Portland had as much interest in Hedo now as they once did...

Many players have overcome injury to become consistent players in the L.

Don't you think it would be worth it to even take a risk on Oden?

If I was a GM with no C I definitely would.

Oden kind of reminds me of Yao in the sense that genetically he just doesn't seem right.

I wouldn't. He's had major knee issues, not minor...major! At his size and like fancy said, he doesn't seem right to begin with. He seems breakable/fragile imo. I don't think he'll ever play a full 82 game season at his size with knee problems.
