Heat Heat eyeing Boozer or Brand?

Reports out of Miami indicate the Heat are considering dealing Shawn Marion for Carlos Boozer or Elton Brand (If he doesn't opt out of his contract).

Marion's not opting out his contract. And Carlos Boozer is most likely staying in Utah. Elton Brand would just be a rip IMO.

Why the hell would Utah want Marion?

Quite a bit of redundancy with he an AK.

There have been rumors for a while now that Boozer wouldn't resign in Utah when his contract expires. He wants to test free agency.I guess it just depends on if Miami thinks they can sign him long term?? As for them going after Brand i don't see that happening. I think there best options For a Marion deal would be T.J Ford/Rasho deal or a deal for Boozer!

But Marion averages 6-7 more points a game - and at least 2-3 more rebounds per game! Come on, Acie, don't you know it's all about the career statistics!

I guess career stats mean nothing! And apparently injury history means nothing here either?

But for you, it's all about the career stats. Utah should make that deal because Marion has better career stats than Boozer! Yes!

It's not "ALL" about career numbers. But it is a factor. My opinion is JO is way overpriced for his numbers and injury history, period! And i would take Marion over him in a heartbeat! And i won't change my mind on that. If we get O'Neil and he stays healthy i have no doubt he would give us at least 18PPG and 8+RPG but at 21-23M!And i don't think he'll stay healthy. When we can get Marion with the same type of numbers and good defencive abilities for alot less and less risk!
