I got neither atm because to win, typically, it has been given to the best player on the best team in the conference and/or the league.

Both Thunder and Heat are brought down a huge mark when their star is gone. Not sure you can say the same for Spurs, Pacers, Clippers, GSW, etc..

I have KD by a hair.:jack:

He should get it. He's the bigger story, and that's what the award is basically about. It sucks that Westbrook is not looking like a horse you would bet on in the long term.

KD gets my vote.
He does it all, and last night was the exclamation mark. He is a winner. And he does this with his second star (Westbrook) injured for most of the season.

well anyone who's a raps fan/has vote will cast for Durant

I'm sure lebron will get a bunch of "it's so close and Durant has many mvp years ahead" votes

You could look at it this way. How big of a loss is Westbrook and Wade on their respective teams? OKC got Jackson for Westbrook, Heat got who for Wade? I think Lebron carried the Heat more than Durant this season.

With all due respect to Jackson. But in no way at this point in his career should Jackson be mentioned in the same breath with RW.

KD does not have Bosh. Ibaka is not as big of an impact player as Bosh is.

KD gets the nod IMO

He's certainly one of the favourites to win it this year. It's gotta be either him or LeBron. I you look at OKC, besides Westbrook who's been injured most of the year, their team is solid but not great either. Durant just takes them to a whole other level. He deserves it.

When I think the Raptors have had poor luck with the draft, I stop and remember the Blazers. Oden, Roy becoming a stud then injuries ruining his career. People always bring the the good old Sam Bowie over MJ. At least you guys got Aldridge and weren't stuck with 7 years of Bargnani. But still, I feel for the Blazers.

Don't feel bad for Portland, they're learning that tanking can be fun.

Feel bad for the city that drafted Kevin Durant.

Its not even close right now. Lebrons had a great season statistically but has slowed down in the 2nd half of the year, and Durant is having a historic season.

Unless Lebron goes on a Kobe type of run of like 10 straight 40 plus point games with all of the assists rebounds and steals with it, it's KDs this year.

Last player to average 32 or more points in a season with over 50 percent shooting was MJ.

Kevin Durant...

The fact that he plays in the more competitive conference should make this an easy and almost unanimous decision.

LeBron is still the best overall player because of his two way ability(he's the closest to the top on defense and offense) but based on the regular season production and impact,Durant should be the MVP in my opinion.
