Hamilton bought out

Richard Hamilton has been bought out of his contract with the Pistons and will be placed on waivers.

This is not an amnesty decision, however.

huge news. This will at least help both sides move on... but Tayshaun should have gotten out while he still could.

let the rip to miami rumours spin

i'd really hate it if it happened. it's gonna happen. rip and battier would be amazing for that team. fuck.

Miami needs size.... Can't see Rip going there. Chicago could use him though!

He would be perfect in Chicago.

TORaptor4Ever 12-09-2011 05:38 PM

Yep. I'd imagine that CHI is on the phone to him right now. lol.

I can seeing him doing well with Chicago, they emphasize on defence and hes a great slasher coming out of screens. He still has a bit left in him and can help the Bull make a huge push

Nites 12-09-2011 09:31 PM

He would fit like glue in Chicago. He is "the" missing piece to the puzzle.

Ball Don't Lie 12-09-2011 09:34 PM

If he still has his legs hes the perfect fit in CHI

0nekhmer 12-09-2011 09:41 PM

Would be nice to see him as a bull. Everyone seems like they want to stack on Miami, Boston, or any team filled with talent.

Claudius 12-09-2011 10:32 PM

I don't know if he still has the legs.

My buddy is a big Detroit fan and he told me when the Pistons were making their run in the mid 2000s that his game would drop off quickly because of the way he played the game and that his drop would be drastic. I think he's right. He played with his legs, a lot, and that grind of playing a lot of minutes and routinely playing in the playoffs (they had that run of going to what, 3 straight ECF's?) sped up his decline.

Ball Don't Lie 12-09-2011 10:57 PM

Well its impossible to say right now where hes at because he really never played consistantly last year. And he wont be relied upon to come around screens every 2nd play in CHI anyway. If hes got anything good left he'll be a great fit because hes exactly the type of player Thibodeau loves, he knows how to win, and he can get shots for himself/make open shots which is huge for their often disgusting offence

Chicago's number one pick is Crawford, and I think that's a better pick than Hamilton. As good as Hamilton is, he's just not a scorer like Crawford, and I'm not even saying that Crawford is the better player but he is the better fit. Chicago needs a second scorer who can just score by himself, Hamilton has always been good in the flow of an offense and running around screens and stuff. If they could get both though that would be a good for them still lol.
