Question Guys who need to be Freed

There are always some players in the league for whatever reason, aren't getting minutes. Usually these players are young. They may be getting very few minutes for variety of reasons (youth, team structure, a good starter ahead of the player in the rotation, defined roles, politics between coach and gm, etc). One could make a case that Ed Davis was one player who we saw what he could do if he was freed. Larry Sanders is probably the perfect example though.

Off the top of my head here are 3 players who are Guys who need to be Freed:

Kendall Marshall
Maurice Harkless (although the past 4 games he's been getting 30+ minutes)
Tobias Harris

Who else out there in the nba fits the description of a guy who needs to be freed?

I agree about Harris and Thomas Robinson needs to be freed from that circus in Sacramento

I honestly don't know what the plan has been in Milwaukee lately. First they rarely played Sanders and then finally gave him minutes this season. Then they committed a lot of $ and minutes to LMM and Ilyasova so what are they doing with Harris?

Yeah SAK is pretty messed up. Robinson and DMC could be a great combo but DMC has issues obviously and I believe Robinson elbowed somebody in the face earlier in the season or something. Anywho, yes, Robinson is somebody who needs to get minutes.

Harkless is a good call.

So is Robinson (SAC).

I'd submit Jeff Taylor in CHA. Dude is a terror on D and can hit the 3. Sort of a Bruce Bowen type player... which is pretty darn rare for a rookie. MKG will be out for a while with a concussion so he should get some more time over the next week or two.

Sam Dalembert (MIL) is another one.... kind of curious as to why they don't start him and Sanders together TBH. He played very well when Sanders was out with the flu and has a ton of experience.

I was DYING for the Raptors to draft Taylor this past year.

Guy was heralded as the hands down best defender in the draft. Crazy athleticism and although isn't really consistent when it comes to his shooting, CAN hit a shot if left open.

I know I'll get some hate for this but I like him better than Ross TBH. Great size and the dude has a bit of a nasty streak too.

Surprised that the Celtics passed on him TBH... I can understand them taking a flyer on Sullinger since they needed a big but I would have taken Taylor over Fab Melo. Would have been a GREAT fit on that team and would have probably made him an even better defender in the long run with the experience there.

Jimmer Fredette, Royce White and Jeremy Lamb are a few that come to mind.

Houston is so deep they went ahead and trade Lamb...Remember their summer league team haha it was stacked, and now these players are like 10th, 11th men.

perry jones? fab melo?

thought both were sleeper picks. Surely any 1st round pick should be getting a chance to show what they've got?

Andre Drummond !!! If he is the future then they should be starting him and giving him 30+ minutes.

They're getting minutes due to injuries now, but I think that Taj Gibson, Eric Bledsoe should be starters instead of backups.

Terrence Ross. Why not go with a Lowry, DeRozan, Ross, Gay, (center) line up?

I want to see Donatas Montiejunas get more playing time.

Derrick Favors. Jazz would be dumb to not trade one or both of Millsap and Jefferson.

I've never been enamored with Favors. They should deal him and keep Millsap.
