If someone punched his sister or his mother, he'd have a problem with it.

Anything else, Greg? Kick a puppy today? Mug a senior?

Nah, if teams still give Bynum repeated chances they'll still try with Oden.

Guess my point was teams don't really care, if a player can contribute they'll play them. Convicted or not from Kobe to Kidd to Telfair to Sprewell to Felton to Lowry to JJ to many others, if they can play and look rehabbed teams will take a chance.

The only time I've really seen players get bounced is when they become disruptive to the teams success or they publicize how many mouths they have to feed and even then teams will try. If Oden can play, he'll get another shot.

Isn't Bynum working out for the Clippers? lol same as Oden too. Reports have the Knicks looking at him for next year also. Teams will give him a chance to play if he can be a positive.

The difference with this is that this dudes career never really got started. It's different if you had a few good seasons.. but in his case now he has an injury history now off court issues.

Maybe, but I think you guys make it bigger than how teams see it. If a player the size of Oden can play and contribute, he'll get a chance imo.

Agreed. I don't think off court stuff matters to them too much. Obviously it depends on the infraction.

Well none of those guys other then Kidd beat their SO did they? Also Kidd's a special case cause he's a future HOF. oden still cant play and the dudes has some unforunatet life problems should be settled first.

Dude, they've let convicted rapists play - like Patterson for one - and JJ was accused of smacking his SO in front of his little kid. There's a boatload of other players with charges (convictions or not). There's no special cases imo, if you can contribute they'll play you. As for Oden, let's wait and see what he can do first before ye'all write him off as a player. As for the other stuff, he'll deal with that as it comes.
