Default Gerald Green

Anybody watch this guy last night? I was impressed by his shooting, rebounding and defense on Kobe. And to think he was a throwaway-player! I was thinking this was exactly the type of player the Raptors need.

I was wondering if any of you who have seen his last few games can say if he's a one-game wonder or does he consistently play like this?

i'm expecting most responses to look something like 'fuck gerald green!'

with howard out, he's getting a nice opportunity to showcase himself. don't know what will happen once howard and george are back in the mix....

Gerald Green = Joey Graham. Million dollar talent, 2 cent brain.

Gerald Green is a much more versatile and capable player than Graham. Graham was seen as an NBA ready kind of guy in the draft without a very high ceiling while Gerald Green is much younger so he has much more room to grow that "2 cent brain" of his.

If you look at his numbers, they aren't all that bad when he's gotten the opportunity to play. I'm surprised that he wasn't all that coveted because he was definitely a low-risk high-reward kind of pickup.

hes one of those dudes who get the potential talk for the first 5 years of there career but end up accomplishing nothing.
Hes athletic and has a decent jumpshot
but i dont EVER see him being a solid starter in the NBA

More Versatile player than Graham? All Green can play is the 3. There's a reason why he dropped to 18 or 19, or whatever he was drafted at. He was given every oppourtunity in Boston.. and in Minnesota.. and did nothing for the Rockets to renew his contract. He puts up excellent numbers in garbage time though.

Like I said before, Gerald Green = Joey Graham

Green has a perimeter game and can handle the ball much better than Graham while also being younger so he has more years to get his head together. I'd much rather take a chance on Green than Graham. That is all I'm saying.

Graham is much more athletic and has way more tools than Green. Both are just dumbasses. I like Graham.

Graham can't dribble and has limited range. I'd say that Graham has got a better inside game than Green due to his strength, but he can't utilize it that well because the Raptors system involves the wings parking out in the perimeter for the majority of the game and running things through Bosh. That and Graham tends to lose the ball after only a few dribbles.
