Gasol to the Bulls deal back on?
There some rumblings out of Memphis that with the Grizz new style of ball, that Pau is most likely expendable. :(

What do you guys this of the deals that have been proposed below? Would you do it?

The question is how much you really can give up for a seventh-year player who never has been a good rebounder or defender and hasn't been on the winning side in a playoff game.
How about Tyrus Thomas and Andres Nocioni?

That's a deal that makes some sense for both sides in that it doesn't alter the Bulls' perimeter core of Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon and Luol Deng. And it gives Memphis an athletic runner in Thomas, who fits Iavaroni's fast-paced style.

bulls stink, but Gasol isnt the answer.
he's been terrible this year, absolitely terrible.
17 and 7.
whoop dee dooo.
the bulls are in a bad place right now, they are searching for a saviour and are giving that title to anyone who they can get their grubby hands on.
if they really think Gasol will change the direction the team is headed, they are badly mistaken.
they need a proven winner who can rebound and play well in the paint.
Gasol is not that guy.

He's been bad, but if I'm not mistaken hes coming off an injury right? Having more help in the backcourt and guys that know how to win around him will increase his production in itself IMO, and this way at least the Bulls will have a chance of doing something in the playoffs this year.

I think the Bulls should go after JO over Gasol, but either would give them what they need I think. With either of them in the lineup, itll take the pressure off the other 2(if one gets traded) main perimeter guys and their shooting% will start to skyrocket because they'll get easier shots.

Yeah, he has being pretty bad, but he will improve, and he seems to be really happy, not only with Navarro but with all the team. So I dont think he is going anywhere.

There was talk about him coming to Toronto for a package that included Bargnani and Rasho. As much as I like Gasol, I'm afraid of giving up Bargs - even if he is going through the Sophmore jinx and him coasting out there. I think in the end, he's going to be better than Gasol - and Gasol is a fabulous player. Andrea hasn't really been given a definite answer on how he's supposed to play. Is he a perimeter player or is he supposed to be down low on the blocks? One thing's for sure, I can't to see what he develops into.

The Bulls need something down low. Ben Wallace is pretty much non existent on the offensive end, and it seems as if the team has lost faith in him, especially down the stretch, TT seems to be disinterested most of the times, Joe Smith doesn't play big minutes, Noah is inexperienced and inconsistent, so what does that leave them with? Not a whole lot. Thing is, as much as TT is a good player, is he that much of an improvement over Warrick or Swift? They bring the same thing to the table. I do like Nocioni - that guy is a player. He brings it every night.

The trio of Swift, TT and Warrick seems a tad redundant.

They wont' get Gasol for Thomas and Nocioni. I really think Deng is in any deal with the Bulls for Kobe or Pau... at least i'd not make one that didnt' include him :)
