Please show me the link to the article that has Bosh saying "I'm an MVP."

I remember that quote.... he was asked about his goals coming into the season and he listed THAT as a goal.

Oh the humanity!!! He should have just said "well, I hope to be a mediocre player this season and MAYBE make the all-star team".

Yeah he set it as a goal and how did that pan out? It failed miserably. ALDRIDGE was in MVP talks, Bosh on the other hand.. never was through his career.

Bosh was in MVP discussions his last season here until he got hurt. But again....not the point. Point is he never ever said he was an MVP talent, so you exaggerated. Heaven forbid an All-Star player aspires to be an MVP some day. How dare he. What would you be saying if he said he was content with where he was at in his career?

I never said he thought he was MVP talent. I was just replying to someone who said he had it as a goal. Good for him to have a goal, but at the same time he failed at it. Bosh was never an MVP candidate, this team was piss poor last season. If you are an MVP candidate on a losing team, you can surely bet its by Raptors reporters hyping their franchise player.

How is it ironic? We went from 40 to 20 wins. You think it was all Bosh? Just a bit, but it was injuries. We won some games early in the season but then everyone got injured. If you think Bosh was the reason then you're looking at it all wrong. If you want to see an MVP its Lebron James. The Cavs at 60 wins and going to what, like 10 wins? THAT is an MVP. If your team is below .500 to begin with you really have no effect anyways.

Lol.. so luch logic fail here.

Varejao missed over 50 games for the Cavs this season.

Jamison and Mo missed 20-25.

And the bolded statement above is one of the most ridiculous that I've read in some time.

For an MVP candidate? I don't think so. Yeah lets vote for an MVP even though his team didn't make the playoffs, LOL... some MVP.

how long have you been a raptor fan? because clearly you don't remember him finishing 5th in the mvp race at the end of our 47 win season or him peaking at 4th his last season here.

failure - no, valuable - yes....... BUT overrated - yes, MVP Candidate - NEVER....based off the way he plays, he just isnt a difference maker, its been said a thousand times before throughout rf, its just my opinion,

it wouldnt be fair to the rest of the league if chris Bosh is one of the players they should strive to become if they want to be the best in the league...

I cannot wait until people get some closure on Bosh.

On the one hand, I don't think anyone is saying that Bosh sucks. I don't know why someone keeps straw-manning everyone else to perpetuate their obsession.

On the other hand, you can confirm for yourself that Bosh is respected by some good basketball minds. For starters, if you just watched the Heat games all season long, you could see that when Bosh was on, the Heat were really tough to play. Obviously he is a key to their success. He has, as a matter of fact, been mentioned as a top 10 player for some time, and when the team was winning regularly and he was putting in double-doubles every night, he was considered a borderline MVP candidate. I remember that he was considered basically the second-best, young big after Dwight Howard.

I think the big problem is that he has not done much to shake the "soft" label and that's a killer to some people in the league.

THIS is a POV that I can respect.

I understand the argument in regards to the "soft" label... it will be up to Bosh to prove the doubters wrong when he plays against his old nemesis in KG.

Great. Lamarcus was the mid-season MVP of the Blazers. Thank you for the enlightenment. Bosh must really suck not to have qualified for that distinction.

Have you come to realize that Bosh won a playoff series? Want to try googling that?

Does anyone want to even take a look at what an MVP is? It is not a recognition of who the best player is, although sometimes it is the player that is perceived to be the best that wins it. I think a little too much emphasis is being placed on a quote that constantly gets placed in a poor context.
