Nets Frank Fired as NJ Head Coach - update pg 1

Soon to be 0-14. I wonder if he'll get a reprieve since the team has been decimated by so many injuries.

Quote:
So far, the Nets have played 13 games and lost them all. The small print – four of five starters injured, eight players dressed a night, young kids playing relentlessly hard – gets lost in the punch lines. “Opening game, we’re up 17 against Minnesota,” Frank sighed. “The fourth quarter, we turn the ball over everywhere in the gym and they come back and beat us.”

The Timberwolves haven’t won another game and have played much worse, but they’re free of history’s ignoble clutches. The record for consecutive losses to start a season is 17, and with games in Portland, Sacramento and Los Angeles after Denver, the Nets are rounding third and headed for home. This is a mess, and make no mistake: The coach didn’t create it, but he’ll ultimately pay the price. “This is a results-oriented business, that’s it,” Frank said

It's sad how the coach is always the scapegoat, Lawrence Frank's a great coach, remember how much he outcoached Smitch the last time the Nets beat the Raps? That's not saying much but still, sad to see him fired if the team continues to struggle.

I assume you're joking, but if you're not...this is what happens to a team that has four or five starters injured and only dresses eight players a night.

That would be a huge mistake if the Nets let go of Frank. He's a great coach.

not his fault, but it is rarely the coaches fault.
its a players league so they will be given another chance. but who expected any differnt from new jersey (being last, not the 0-14).

i hope we dont lose to them....

Default Nets set to fire Frank early this week

Management has made the decision to fire Frank, a move that will be carried out when the team returns to New jersey after Sunday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the sources said. Even if the Nets beat the Lakers, Frank is still expected to be fired.

No, this is what happens to a team missing 4/5 starters, dressing 8 players a night.

What if our players were like Derozan, Bellenelli, JJ, Antoine Wright, Rasho, Amir, Patrick O'Bryant, Marcus Banks or something. We'd be in the same position.
