Fisher close to signing with Thunder

Quote:
Derek Fisher is in advanced talks with the Thunder, according to sources.

Fisher is scheduled to clear waivers on Wednesday evening and is 'very close' to an agreement with the Thunder.

The Heat have also been the other leading destination for Fisher.

Oklahoma City is in need for backcourt depth since they are without Eric Maynor.

He sucks, but he'll be an awesome locker room guy. He's a glue guy that's perfect for such a young team.

this trade looked more like LAL management trying to get rid of strong leadership presence.
obviously you can't get rid of both Kobe and Fish so they kicked Fish out

I was sure Fish was going to made his way up the management ladder in LAL. I guess Mitch K felt his sit burning under his ass

I hate Fisher.

Hopefully him and Westbrook can chuck OKC out of the playoffs.

i like this signing actually. I know he was doing shitty with the lakers, but the thunder desperately need a backup guard type player to replace the loss of maynor. he was underrated for this team and the jackson guy they have running the backup pg position now isnt good enough to fill the void. fisher is a guy with a lot of playoff experience and known for being clutch, so it cant really hurt this team at all, especially if the worst case scenerio happens and westbrook gets hurt and has to miss games or get his minutes cut.

besides, this team is the best fit for fisher and anything this team can do not to allow the heat to win the championship to fine by me

Fisher has always done what is needed to win basketball games. He's proven clutch on the biggest stage multiple times. He's a welcome addition to any team competing for a championship.
