Our management sucks. 16 years upcoming and we've had 1 1st round win. BC has had no success in building a contender in his years here. Are we ever going to turn the corner with him, judging by past history? How can anyone give a confident yes to that?
After this year, we might not have a choice.

But let me ask you this...we can BC. How do you hire?

I can say very confidently that I'd probably only take 5 guys in the NBA over Shumpert pre injury on the perimeter defending a bigtime star.

After the injury, who knows, but I think Shumpert showed that he was elite defensively last year 1 on 1. His offensive game is a whole other story, but his defence was awesome.

And to be honest...that starting 5 of Curry - Klay - Barnes - Lee - Bogut looks pretty fucking nice right now.

Bill Haverchuk and Claudius as his Maurizio.

I'm also tired of this talk like, oh we can't get BC go because there's no one else out there. Please. If the guy sucked at his job, he doesn't deserve extension after extension because of reputation. Results are results. Colangelo has failed us. Its been over 5 years now.

Woodson is a very good defensive coach, so I wouldnt worry too much about their defence, they'll still be above average, especially with Shumpert in the lineup.
There won't be Shumpert in the line-up.

Yeah, stellar
That's true, but it's still talent. Talent that is still valued across the league - as injury prone as they are.

What? Didn't even have one full season. Most likely an aberration...like Fields making the rookie all star game. All aberrations. Means nothing at all.

It amazes me when anyone says a rookie is top 5 in anything. Like you said, Fields was looked at as a ROY candidate.

Playing amazing 1 on 1 perimeter defence as a rookie is an aberration? Most rookies defence gets classified as 'oh they're just learning the game, as they get more experience and learn the nuances of the NBA game they'll improve'. Yet Shumpert comes in and makes a huge impact immediately, showing great timing, quickness, and just disrupting the offensive players he was put up against and you call it an aberration? He's a top notch defender. It is what it is.

I agree, it's so far out in left field - top 5 in the league? No, more like top 5 of the rookies.
