i can see why Hornets would pass. i can also understand why Gordon would wait for 58 mil. it's quite likely he'll get it in free agency this year, if he finishes the year healthy.
3 or 4? Wade, JJohnson, Harden, Terry, Allen, Manu, Crawford, Mayo, Richardson, Kobe, Martin...

Idunno, I think people are giving up on derozan too soon. His average ball handeling makes it hard for him to get by many sg's but if he bulks up a little, hell good size and speed for the small forward position, and become an igoudala type player, at least from a physical standpoint.

If we kid trade Ed and bayless for a late first round pick, we might be able to snag someone like teague, Lebryan Nash or maybe Tyler Zeller

Ed alone is better than a late first but he's not gonna fetch a lottery pick.

ha! stern's plan back fired lol. now to really stick it to the owners that vetoed the initial trade he should sign with a big market club once he's a free agent.
although personally i would love to see him back in LA as a clipper

I disagree Terry, Harden, Allen or Crawford are less than him.... but regardless, I don't see EG as a top 5 SG....

he's not top 5 sg right now, but who's even top 5 sg right now? its currently a pretty weak position.
kobe, wade are obvious then....joe johnson? manu? ray allen? monta?
in 5 years he will be top 5, if not sooner. him and harden are the future of the sg position

healthy Gordon and healthy Martin is more of a toss. A bit hard to judge considering both aren't playing 100% half the time. Martin is bigger. Gordon tries more on D. A question of taste.
Crawford, Mayo and Richardson - that sounds like a joke. You could argue all are 2nd best SGs on their own teams. With Mayo, it's not even much of an argument, Tony Allen is considerably better.
Terry is a very very limited version of a healthy Eric Gordon with an NBA title.
I like Ray Allen. but he's not a healthy Gordon.
And I love Harden as does everyone these days. But I don't think he's better than a healthy Gordon.

and my point in that post was not that Gordon is a top 5 SG right now.
If you read it again, it's about Gordon when he's healthy.
3-4 better SG's than Gordon when he's healthy. And I meant Wade, Kobe, Johnson and Manu there btw.

If everyone was healthy, he wouldn't be. That's my point. Again, I think we disagree about EG.... not a big deal. I just don't think he's an ideal SG cause he's smallish and I've seen enough of him that I wouldn't want him as my second star on a team. If we're dealing DD and Ed and a pick, I think we'd have severely overpaid. That is all. We disagree.

the guy said DD, Bayless and a 2nd rounder.
personally, i'd give that three times for a healthy Gordon. I'd easily give that for a questionable Gordon and be very happy. I'm surprised that someone would consider it overpaying.

Well, I guess we value DD differently too. I don't think DD has played well and definitely isn't ready to be a star, but I don't think swapping those two makes us much better. That's why I consider it overpaying. I think there are better guys that can be got.

I'd give NOH DD and Davis for Gordon.

Gordon + JV + high draft pick = heck of a roster improvement next season.

And we'd still have most of our capspace. I agree.

FA/Jose
Gordon/Barbosa
FA/JJ/kleiza
Bargs/Pick/Amir-Kleiza
Val/Amir/alabi

Chandler or Pietrus at SF?

Why not just move the team to Vancouver already and call it a day. What a mess that franchise is, and this coming from a Raptor fan.

Why Vancouver? There are better alternatives...
