Default EC PLAYOFFS RD 3:Miami WINS - (1)CHI BULLS•1• vs (2)MIA HEAT•4•

STARTERS:

CHI

Derrick Rose
Keith Bogans
Luol Deng
Carlos Boozer
Joakim Noah

MIA

Mike Bibby
Dwyane Wade
Lebron James
Chris Bosh
JoEL Anthony

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

CHI

CJ Watson
Ronnie Brewer
Kyle Korver
Taj Gibson
Omer Asik

MIA

Mario Chalmers
James Jones
Udonis Haslem(?)
Zydrunas Ilgauskas

Key Matchups:

The biggest matchup in the series IMO is D Rose vs MIAs defence. DRose has to score and score efficiently for CHI to win this series. He cant be shooting a bad percentage on his jumpshots or else his teammates wont get open looks because theyll be playing off of him and he wont be able to not only create open jumpers for his teammates, but also offensive rebounds with his penetration. It'll be interesting to see who they put on him to start and end the game. I expect Wade to start on him, and Chalmers to end the game vs him(for the first part of the 4th qtr anyway, and if it doesnt work, then Lebron).

Next, its CHI's D vs Wade. Bogans isnt quick enough to slow him down, and Brewer probably isnt either. This leaves Rose, who defended him pretty well in the regular season from what I saw, but this will sap his energy on offence which cant happen. Its going to take a big team effort and creativity on Thibodeaus part to slow him down.

Lebron vs Deng- Always a very exciting matchup to watch, as Deng is one of the only SFs in the league that plays Lebron tough, and scores on him on the other end. Deng needs to make Lebron work on defence, and needs to contribute 15+ ppg to give the Bulls a shot.

The frontcourt. Boozer has to be a big factor in scoring downlow, which he should be able to do vs a shorter Anthony and a pansy in Bosh. Its up to Boozer to put his stamp on the game for CHI to not go in to lulls on offence. The main matchup I'm looking to see is if Noah starts on Bosh on defence, because if he does, itll be tough for Noah to be CHI's anchor in the middle coming over to help with Bosh being such a threat off of drive and dish. But then again, putting Boozer on him only makes MIA go to him more and hes going to score nearly every time vs Boozer.

The benches- This is CHIs biggest advantage that they need to use probably more than they did last series. Their bench needs to continue their stellar defensive work, and make up a lot of points in the 2nd and 4th quarters for CHI to have any shot in this series.

PREDICTION:

MIA in 6. Going with the safe pick, as its hard to see CHI being able to consistantly score on offence and keep up with MIA in the points department with no real advantage on offence besides Rose. If Boozer was playing better and more consistantly this would be a much tougher pick.

I think Miami is going to have a hard time matching up at the 1, 4 and 5. This series is going to be won on the line, almost a race between Rose and Wade/ Lebron to put up the most fouls. Bosh and Anthony are going to have work so much harder then have so far in the playoffs, if they lose control of glass this could be a very lope sided series. Chicago's bench is so much deeper and more talented and way more aggressive. Chicago in 6. It really comes down to Wade and Lebron beating this number one ranked Defense, I think they two of them need to be breaking 65 a game to take this series. I can't see that happening if Wade is forced into guarding Rose, because lets face it Bibby is going to get run over, and Chambers 6 fouls may get sucked up in a hurry.

It's going to be a much different series for Miami. They are done with a team that faded at the end of every game, and now face a team that tends to really turn it on as games wind down. And it could be very different for Chicago if Miami gets a lead and doesn't let up - something they may have finally figured out how to do. Should be fun.

This series will be similar to the last one IMO... in that if the Bulls can shut down Bosh they'll probably win the series.... because Bron and Wade aren't going to avg. 40pts/gm a piece for the series. With their bench as weak as it is they need good games from all 3 stars.... if they don't get it that plays into the Bulls' hands.

MIA in 6 for me too.... just too much pressure on D-Rose to carry the load for CHI.

Bulls will kill them on the glass. I think the scores are going to be low like 90's east coast basketball.

Bulls in 6 due to rebounding and better bench.

Spoltra was alluding to James playing some minutes on Rose I don't think its going to work out in their favor. What made Rose the MVP was his ability to draw fouls and get to the line.

Miami in 5 again. Have the bench play decent, and they're as good as gold. Having all three of the Big Three playing well wouldn't hurt either.

I expect much more of the final minute of this clip to reoccur in this series. DWade vs Drose going down the stretch. You'll notice one of the Bulls' final possessions in that clip, DWade calling Chalmers off of Rose so he can guard him. Expect a lot of that to come.

Their is a bit of a beef there, DWade is the greatest playerto come out of Chicago, and DRose is the greatest player playing in Chicago. Both are arguably the best players in the game today.

I don't want to miss a minute of this series.

Joel can handle Boozer and Noah's offense isn't good so Bosh can handle Noah on defense.

Wade + Lebron can score more than Rose and we know Rose is only consistent scorer in Chicago. If Deng doesn't play well it will be 4-0. I think x factor is Deng.

It is important how Chicago will react when Miami plays with four short too.
