Default EC PLAYOFFS RD 2 - CHICAGO wins: (1)CHI BULLS 4 vs (5)ATL HAWKS 2

STARTERS:

CHI

Derrick Rose
Keith Bogans
Luol Deng
Carlos Boozer
Joakim Noah

ATL

Jeff Teague/Jamal Crawford(Hinrich likely out entire series)
Joe Johnson
Josh Smith
Al Horford
Jason Collins

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

CHI

CJ Watson
Ronnie Brewer
Kyle Korver
Taj Gibson

ATL

Jeff Teague/Jamal Crawford
Marvin Williams
Zaza Pachulia

Key Matchups:

Derrick Rose vs ?- With Hinrich out for the series, ATL is in some trouble matching up with DRose. Teague will likely have to play minutes in the series unless they plan on playing JJ at PG and burning him out with 42+ MPG. The one plus for ATL is they usually switch every pick and roll, so theyre likely going to force Rose in to a ton of 1 on 1 vs their bigs which may take the other Bulls out of the equation if they dont help like they didnt with Howard.

Carlos Boozer vs Smith/Horford- If the Bulls are going to make this a short series, Boozer is going to have to play well, and conssitant, vs Horford and Smith. This is probablly the toughest matchup to call due to Boozers inconsistancy.

And maybe most importantly:

ATLs halfcourt offence vs Bulls halfcourt D- I see Brewer getting a lot of time on JJ, which means him and Deng, their best perimeter defenders, will be on the court at the same time a lot this series. ATL essentially needs JJ to play as well as he did vs ORL, and Crawford/Horford or Smith to go off vs Boozer. Hard to see all 3 things happening.

PREDICTION:

CHI in 5. ATL's lack of creativity in the halfcourt vs the best halfcourt D in the league is what its going to come down to IMO.

Going with CHI in 6 here.

If Crawford continues to play like a God the Hawks' chances improve.

Joe Johnson has to start earning that contract.

The 2011 Playoffs have been so much different than in almost all years past. I cant believe so many of the lower seeds have jumped on the higher seeds, and kept games close down to the last minute. Usually its blowouts every 2nd game. This is great

When Jason Collins hits a faceup 19 footer you know something big went down in the world.

Joe Johnson=Jesus
Zach Randolph=God

Knowing ATL though, theyll get blown out by 50 in game two. Theyre such an enigma.

Or maybe theyve finally gotten over their own mental hump

Wasn't impressed by bulls in the first round, this one looks like an upset!!

Bulls aren't build for playoffs!! They are like Washington Capitals!

JJ earning that max contract, at least for one game that is. If the Hawks win this series, I'll attribute it to the Kirk curse.

2011 NBA playoffs: Atlanta Hawks leave Game 1 tickets for Orlando Magic's Jameer Nelson - ESPN

Quote:
Hawks spokesman Arthur Triche announced on Twitter earlier Monday that he was leaving two tickets for Nelson after the Magic guard was caught telling Bulls star Derrick Rose "catch you in the second round" after the two teams met on April 10.

"Things that make me happy about this job," Triche said on Twitter. "Taking a page out of Jerry Glanville's book, I think I'll follow through on Jameer's request to catch Derrick Rose in the 2nd round."
