and his role can easily be filled by any other Miami big....
If anyone said that then wow.

But really, Miami has been seriously flawed since they got the big 3. I have no idea why they didnt go out and trade for or sign a 7 footer who can play 15-20 mpg. That and they have way too many one dimensional players off the bench, but they did that to themselves with the horrible contracts they shelled out.

If the Pacers win this series it might make up for all the terrible eastern playoff games.

I would have thought that Chalmers scoring 25, and Anthony scoring 10 would have been a good sign. Wade's collapse was just stunning. And Joel Anthony shooting more free throws than Wade and Lebron combined? That team's broke. Gotta give Indiana a lot of credit as well. Lookie Lookie - it's not all about getting a superstar.

If the Heat don't win, I think one of the big 3 will be traded, especially when you consider the implications of the severe luxury tax that kicks in soon.

In Thriller's thread, during a discussion about Philly and their need for a PF, a couple of people thought Bosh might be available via trade. Miami should shop Wade. Get a decent package that includes an SG who can hit from the outside.

But the sky hasn't fallen just yet. The series is not over. Boston has got to be liking their chances though, assuming they face the Heat in the next round.

edit - spelling

People were saying that Bosh needed to be traded if MIA didn't win it this year. I think it's pretty obvious that he isn't the problem at all here.

I dunno... I still think that their core is pretty solid. Anthony and Chalmers (and even Cole) do their jobs well. It's Miller who hasn't been worth the money IMO. Haslem has been iffy as well.

Good for the Pacers though. I just wish Granger wasn't on that team. He still irks me.

Also.... If I'm a betting man I'm putting money on Riley flying to LA to talk to Phil in the off-season.

Bosh and Lebron looked dope together when Wade was out early in the year. I can remember reading one article about trading Bosh (later in the season), but I'm not sure it was a wide spread view. I've heard it more from fans than people who are paid to write.

Anyway, the sky hasn't fallen yet. Things are definitely way more interesting, but the series is not over. I don't want to get too excited and jinx the pacers.

The Heat would really need to do a full roster overhaul if they're going to trade Bosh. Trading Bosh to get some players is one thing, but they need to fill out the rest of their roster and get a coach that can make it work because obviously Wade and Lebron in the halfcourt isnt the best fit despite both being top 5 players.

You think their core is solid? Seriously? Did you watch the last 2 games?

Chalmers is a backup PG on essentially every team in the NBA besides maybe 2-3 teams. He's a good role player, but starter?

Anthony plays his role well because he fits their defensive system well, but hes a liability vs taller centers and in general on the defensive boards and especially offensively.

Battier just hasnt looked the same this year, Miller has been injury hit for the last 5 years but yet he too was locked up longterm for some reason, and I love Haslem, but i have no idea what the hell has happened to him in the last few months. He must be injured or something.

And Cole? Miami fans want him in the DLeague and he's had one of the worst 2nd halfs of the season in the NBA.

Knowing the Raptors we'll give him a 5 year contract when hes a free agent not realizing he's a system player.

And all that being said... they still kicked everyone's asses last season up until the finals.

If Haslem was his usual self and Miller wasn't made of glass (and playing like a scrub) the Heat would be fine (although I agree they could have used another legit big). They'd be at least 7 or 8 deep which is fine for the playoffs.

If it's against the Spurs, wake me when it's over. I think a Pacers/OKC finals would be fun.

And the Heat are exciting? All they have is LeBron. Wade looks turrble now. They have the worst role players in the playoffs.

Ill take a 7 game series over Boston sweeping Miami

Wade, Spoelstra Clash During Timeout
May 17, 2012 11:55 PM EDT

Dwyane Wade yelled at Erik Spoelstra during a timeout of Miami’s 94-75 loss to the Pacers.

Late in the third quarter, Spoelstra became agitated when Wade missed a series of contested jumpers.

Wade angrily cursed Spoelstra in an ensuing timeout, with Udonis Haslem and Juwan Howard stepping into separate the two.

Wade scored 5 points on 2-for-13 shooting in the los
