Holy fuck. Miami looks aweful. Indiana might actually stand a good chance at winning this series.

I knew we'd regret trading Hibbert in the JO deal. Looks like I was right.

uh oh, Spoelstra's job is on the line. Miami might fire him mid-series.

You mean, you knew we'd regret trading that pick. We never really drafted Hibbert.

Also, Hibbert looked brutal for quite some time and he's still really inconsistent.

Mike Tirico loves the Heat. It's a shame because I like Hubie Brown's insight, but Mike Tirico is just terrible.

Well, I'm assuming Hibbert would've been fairly high on BC's draft list, especially since we lacked a center presence and he was still available at 17.

He's made some major steps in the right direction. He isn't as robotic as he used to be, and is a monster on the boards with those long arms. As soon as he gets those post moves ironed out, watch out.

At the time, it was possibly the right move because it gave a guy who could teach Andrea how to play the C, push him in practice and provide cap space in 2 years. We don't know what Hibbert's trajectory would've been if he stayed with us.

He's better now, but I'm still quite glad that we have Val over him as a prospect.

It looked like a good deal at the time, I just wish we had found a way not to include our pick as part of the package.

Who knows how far Hibbert would be development-wise if he had been in Toronto his whole career, but a platoon of Hibbert and Val would be a dream.

Well, that offseason the major concern was adding a "real" center to play with Bosh and/or Bargs, after the Raps got demolished inside against Orlando in the playoffs. If they had chosen to draft a center, rather than trade for JO, it's quite possible that Colangelo would have taken Koufus or Javalle McGee.

And Claud is right about Hibbert struggling a bit earlier on. He really started to produce after Indiana got him to slim down A LOT. Going the slim and quick route has worked better than the power route for Hibbert. If the Raps drafted him, it's possible he would have been an okay center but not at the same level since we might not have put him on the same diet/workout regimen.

Yeah, I like his development. He'd look interesting next to Bargnani. But what the fuck you gonna' do? We might have drafted Koufus.

Well I guess all the pundits were right.... Bosh isn't really THAT important to the Heat... and his role can easily be filled by any other Miami big....

.... oh wait. lol.

2 1/2 stars my ass.
