EC PLAYOFFS; RD 1: MIAMI WINS --(2) MIA HEAT - 4 VS (7) PHI 76ERS - 1
KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:
Who the hell is going to guard Dwyane Wade? I think thats the biggest mismatch in the series by far. Meeks is too small, and Jrue, although hes a very good defender, like Meeks, isnt big or strong enough to slow down Dwyane. They're going to have to swarm him or figure out something to slow him down.
Lebron vs Iggy- Always an interesting matchup, with Iggy being one of the best if not the best defensive SF in the game. Lebron is obviously going to get the better of this matchup, but how Iguodala plays overall is going to determine how long this series is. If hes able to keep his energy up and still be PHIs main ballhandler, and be effective, while trying to slow down Lebron, PHI might win a couple of games this series.
Thaddeus Young- MIA is going to have to go small a lot this series due to the mismatches Young causes. This will essentially let Jrue have the matchup PHI wants against either Chalmers or Bibby instead of Wade. At the start of games I expect Wade to be on Jrue and Bibby on Meeks. PHI is going to really need to take advantage of their small lineup again to have any chance in the series.
MIA in 5. MIA is able to matchup against PHI much better than PHI matchup with them. Though if PHI can figure out the Wade factor somehow and can play small effectively, we may have one of the more entertaining series on our hands. But Jrue and Brand are really going to have to take care of business when going small vs the PG's/Bosh to really have a shot.
