Default EC PLAYOFFS RD 1: (4) CHI BULLS vs (5) WAS WIZARDS

STARTERS:

CHI

Kirk Hinrich
Mike Dunleavy
Jimmy Butler
Carlos Boozer
Joakim Noah

WAS

John Wall
Bradley Beal
Trevor Ariza
Nene
Marcin Gortat

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

CHI

DJ Augustin
Taj Gibson

WAS

Andre Miller
Martell Webster
Drew Gooden(Al Harrington)
Trevor Booker

Key Matchups:

Another very intriguing series due to the complete contrast in styles of play. On one hand, CHI has struggled to slow down Wall and Beal this season in most of the games, and on the other hand, CHIs intensity and physicality will try and wear down WAS' fast attack. This series could really go either way, but will likely be decided within the first game, if not the first 2 games, with which team can force their tempo on the other. I'm picking the upset, because I think Nene makes Washington that much better, and because I think it's John Walls time to rise into superstardom.

PREDICTION:

WAS in 6

CHI in 5. Washington will get at least one win at home.

Bulls in 6. Wall and Beal will exploit the Bulls back court, allowing the Wiz to pull off 2 wins, but in the end Chicago will lock them down on defense, resulting in a 4-2 series for the Bulls.

Bulls in 5

This is a tough series to call imo. Washington could very well upset the Bulls or get pumped.

The addition of Andre Miller could be huge, but I can't go against Chicago here.

I didn't realize Nene was back...this will be a longer series then I initially thought.

Wizards can't win this series. I'd like them to, I like seeing the underdog win. But they're not paying Bradley Beal what he's worth, and the ghost of the Gilbert Arenas contract is still haunting them.

It is tough to watch Augustine have big games with the Bulls. Nene is playing great.

Ya Washington is going to win! That was a pretty fun battle of the bigs. Nene was making some great passes.

I wanted Brooklyn ahead of Washington for the Raptors in the first round. Their front court coupled with their back court speed will give Chicago fits. Still think Chicago takes this.

Agree, their backcourt is as good as ours and they have solid bigs. They are very underated. I wouldn't be surprised if they won against the bulls. Only reason ibout them was their lack of playoff experience for wall/beal but they played great today

veterans like miller, nene, gortat, gooden, ariza could help the youngsters imo.

Not really surprised that the Wizards won. This is going to be a great back and forth series.

I don't think Chicago stands a chance, especially if Nene keeps this up and Wall and Beal start playing. Wizards had a so-so game offensively but they managed to defend real good in the second half. They won the game with Wall and Beal having really bad games.

But that's what Chicago does - they make opposing guards look bad. I don't expect Beal to have a good game in the entire series. It will be a long series and I still think Chicago will win, but if Nene keeps it up Washington can definitely pull out a victory in 6 or 7.

chicago will be fine, i don't remember who it was against (nets?) but last years playoffs they got blown out in game 1 and then came back to win the next 4 i think.

I agree, he's not completely unimportant. For he was instrumental in LeBron's decision to play for Miami. King James knew he couldn't win the NBA championship with the Cavs hiring trash like Gooden.
