Default EC PLAYOFFS RD 1: (4)BRK NETS vs (5)CHI BULLS

STARTERS:

BRK

Deron Williams
Joe Johnson
Gerald Wallace
Reggie Evans
Brook Lopez

CHI(unconfirmed starting lineup)

Kirk Hinrich
Jimmy Butler
Luol Deng
Carlos Boozer
Nazr Mohammed

KEY ROTATION PLAYERS:

BRK

CJ Watson
Jerry Stackhouse
Kris Humphries
Andray Blatche

CHI

Nate Robinson
Rip Hamilton
Marco Belinelli
Taj Gibson

Key Matchups:

I had written a preview saying this series was the hardest EC series to predict and it'd go 7, but now that Noah isn't going to play, I forsee Lopez being unleashed and the Nets winning in less games.

PREDICTION:

BRK in 5

Yawn...BK has bigger names and more glamour as the new look Nets, but I like CHicago alot. Better coaching, more discipline. I wanna take the Bulls in 5,but i'll give the Nets an extra win in my prediction only because they have home court advantage.

It depends on who's playing for Chicago. If Rose is ready and close to all star level, i'd pick them. If not, i think the Nets have a better chance. The Nets are on the rise, D-Will has been very good lately, they have a lot of size to counter the Bulls and they don't mind Chicago's slow pace.

Bulls in 6. Hopefully they can put a full team on the court, but even without Rose I think they'll take this series.

Joakim Noah could miss the Chicago Bulls' entire first round series against the Brooklyn Nets due to lingering plantar fasciitis, according to Tom Thibodeau.

When asked whether it is possible that Noah could sit out all or parts of the opening round, Thibodeau said Thursday: "It's possible, yeah; he's still day to day. If he has soreness, we're going to take it as it comes."

Still, Thibodeau is optimistic he will have Noah available against the Nets.

Nazr Mohammed is likely to start at center -- with or without Noah.

They just showed Deron Williams chillin' before this game, and the first thing I thought was, "That's weird, I thought Utah was eliminated from the playoffs?"
