Question East or West? Which is best?

The torch has been passed to the East.
Your thoughts?
The East have more teams in possible contention for the NBA title than the West.

Top 5 teams:

1.LA
2.SA
3.Celtics
4.Magic
5.Cavs

Tough call imo. I think that a western Conference team will win it all this season, but 3 of the top 5 teams are from the east. Hmmmm

But top to bottom the West is still tougher to make the playoffs with teams like Dallas, Denver..... I'll give the edge to the West for the overall depth and the best team in the league resides in the West.

East will win it. It's going to be a San Antonio Cleveland rematch. Cavs will win.

San Antonio has the veteran experience to topple the cavs in the finals.

Frontcourt:
Timmy and Mcdyess > Shaq and whoever

Backcourt:
Parker, Mason Jr. and Jefferson < Mo, Delonte and Lebron

Bench:
Ginobilli, Hill, Bonner, Dejuan Blair and a prospect in De Colo > Gibson, Parker and moon LOL

It's a 2007 rematch all over again with the same result.

Actually the front court is better with Shaq, Z, and Hickson. Cvs will own the Spurs 4-2. I alsop want them to win because Parker deserves the championship. Oh and the bench is better because both West and Parker can shut down the 1 2 and 3.

Tim Duncan plus McDyess is an insane frontcourt, just because they are veterans who are very high on basketball IQ, plus with coaching from popovich and a hungry rookie in Dejaun Blair.

Delonte is undersized and Manu and Mason can shoot over him and Parker is on the decline, yes the same with ginobili but the Spurs are a very sound defensive team no matter the age, just because of the coaching.

Big Z doesn't grind in the paint but settles for jumpers all day while hickson only got his highlights because Lebron James throws him alley-oops.

What was that? I can't hear you because 4 rings are a little too loud, especially the 2007 one because it keeps making this loud SWEEPING sound.

Yeah the Cavs suck, all they have is the third greatest scorer in NBA history and last year's MVP na dthe best pklayer in the NBA. Oh and only 3 amazing defenders on the whole team! Me oh my, I'm scared of an injury prone french guy, an old man named michael finley, a bruised aregenitinian,
an aging Duncan, an old McDyess and a guy named Richard Jeferson who couldn't get a championship with the Nets if it hit him on his head! Wait, I hear the janitor, sweeping the Spurs remains.

I have been with the west my entire life and I've always thought that they had the upper hand on the East because of experience.

you underestimate Gregg.
To take a team that wasn't athletic or as skilled as the teams they faced and shut them down and beat them. Still considered a force in the West even with all the injuries.

Whatever, I just want anyone but the Lakers to win.

As much as I want San Antonio to win there series with LA will be very tight. I have to say that San Antonio made some big moves and they have a lot of new faces on there team. So I think the more experienced team will win the series if it happens.

Jopin the club. I hate the Lakers just because of Kobe and Lamar. The only two guys I like opn the team are Farmar and Fisher.

The West is still the better conference. The west has the best team in the lakers and overall from top to bottom it is a more competitive conference. The west has two legitimate championship contenders (lakers and spurs) to the east's three (cavs, celtics, magic). Although the east has been closing the gap significantly over the past couple of years.
