![]() The torch has been passed to the East.
Your thoughts? The East have more teams in possible contention for the NBA title than the West. |

Top 5 teams:
1.LA 2.SA 3.Celtics 4.Magic 5.Cavs Tough call imo. I think that a western Conference team will win it all this season, but 3 of the top 5 teams are from the east. Hmmmm But top to bottom the West is still tougher to make the playoffs with teams like Dallas, Denver..... I'll give the edge to the West for the overall depth and the best team in the league resides in the West. Last edited by jeffb; 09-06-2009 at 02:18 PM. |

Frontcourt: Timmy and Mcdyess > Shaq and whoever Backcourt: Parker, Mason Jr. and Jefferson < Mo, Delonte and Lebron Bench: Ginobilli, Hill, Bonner, Dejuan Blair and a prospect in De Colo > Gibson, Parker and moon LOL It's a 2007 rematch all over again with the same result. |

Delonte is undersized and Manu and Mason can shoot over him and Parker is on the decline, yes the same with ginobili but the Spurs are a very sound defensive team no matter the age, just because of the coaching. Big Z doesn't grind in the paint but settles for jumpers all day while hickson only got his highlights because Lebron James throws him alley-oops. |

an aging Duncan, an old McDyess and a guy named Richard Jeferson who couldn't get a championship with the Nets if it hit him on his head! Wait, I hear the janitor, sweeping the Spurs remains. |

To take a team that wasn't athletic or as skilled as the teams they faced and shut them down and beat them. Still considered a force in the West even with all the injuries. Whatever, I just want anyone but the Lakers to win. |

![]() As much as I want San Antonio to win there series with LA will be very tight. I have to say that San Antonio made some big moves and they have a lot of new faces on there team. So I think the more experienced team will win the series if it happens.

![]() The West is still the better conference. The west has the best team in the lakers and overall from top to bottom it is a more competitive conference. The west has two legitimate championship contenders (lakers and spurs) to the east's three (cavs, celtics, magic). Although the east has been closing the gap significantly over the past couple of years.
