Default Early Favorites for the East's All-Stars

Quote:
Last yearís all-star snub, Rajon Rondo is putting up: 11.0/3.9/9.0; which is 2.5 assists per game better than the next best point guard in the east. The all-star team should have a passing point guard and Rondo is deserving.

Josh Smith: 15.5/8.6/3.6; is developing into the next star player on an elite team and canít be overlooked for all-star consideration.

Dwight Howard: 18.1/12.1/1.5; should be the run away selection as starting center for the eastern conference all-star team.

As of now, I'm liking:

Wade; Johnson; Carter; Rondo; James; Bosh; Smith; Pierce; Granger; Iguodala; and Garnett.

All-star voting is open.

Of course I'll wear Raptor Red and vote for Calderon, Turkoglu, Bosh, and Bargnani.

Is Bargs even in consideration for back up center. If not, who else is there, Or are they just going to plug another PF in behind Bosh and KG. Is Smith already that guy?

If Atlanta is still competing with the big 3, how do they ignore Smith?

There's no way Shaq makes the all-star team. If anything, they'll take another PF (ie Horford)

im guessing the fans will vote in Wade and Carter for the guard position.
or maybe JJ.

I guess it depends on how many actual pg's make it.

The east could easily do without any of them at all.

With Wade and JJ, they could easily man the pg spot for the game and still have guys like Carter, Iggy, Pierce, Allen, Granger, Wallace at the other wing positions. Then there are guys like Rip and Prince as well.
