Default Draft combine max vertical from 2000 to 2010 top 13

Just getting bored so I checked all of the max vertical leaps of the all the drafts starting from year 2000 to 2010 and this is what I got as the top 10.

The players in bold are the ones who got drafted.

1. Kenny Gregory: 45.5"
2. Nate Robinson: 43.5"
3. Tim Bowers: 43.5"
4. Jamario Moon: 43"
5. Matt Santangelo: 43"
6. Alex Scales: 42.5"
7. Speedy Claxton: 42.5"
8. Jordan Farmar: 42"
9. Patrick Ewing Jr: 42"
10.Cookie Belcher: 41.5"
11.Ronald Dupree: 41.5"
12. Dwayne Mitchell: 41.5"
13. DeMarcus Minor: 41"

i disagree, in part. i think vertical leap, as with all aspects of athleticism, can be very useful.

i think this list illustrates that some guys managed to get to a certain point solely on athleticism..... moon being the best example.

it would be interesting if they had a "combine" of sorts that focused not so much on raw physical power, but tested things like dexterity, peripheral vision, reaction time, etc etc.

notice MJ's, kobe's, lebron's vertical aren't listed(even in the full list). i would guess they are probably around 40 inches , which may not be the highest but is great non the less. Now having a great vertical may not even get you in the nba but if your gonna be a great player today in this league you beter have one. With the exception of duncan who i believe's success came from his team and system as much as it came from him. You could argue nash too but he hasn't won sh**.

Duncan had a decent vertical when he came out of college but it didn't last very long. His vertical was about average.
