Pacers Don't Look Now, But T.J. Might Have Some Competition at PG

Rumour has it that Ford might have himself another PG contraversy to battle with. This time with Jarrett Jack.

T.J. Ford and Jarrett Jack will battle to start at point guard, and Rasho Nesterovic, Jeff Foster and rookie Roy Hibbert will fight for minutes at center.
"I think T.J. and Jarrett both have the qualities of a starter," O'Brien said. "They're both going to play huge minutes. Another thing is, Jarrett brings toughness and energy. He's not limited to the point guard spot. He can also play two-guard."

O'Brien added defense will determine playing time. The Pacers were one of the worst defensive teams in the league last season.

Jarrett Jack is not a starting PG in the NBA.
he's a back up, period.

funny thing is, thats exactly what people said about Calderone 2 years ago. LOL.

but seriously though, theres no way Jack comes even close to TJ in terms of skill or potential.

Said this many times, but if he could get his hed screwed on right, TJ is best used as a change of pace guard.

A starting PG needs to be able to involve his teamates, get them going and find the hot hand. TJ passes to woever he feels and takes it upon jhimself far to often. Coming off the bench would allow him to be that guy.

ughhh you know what?
reading more about TJ's game and his position battles makes me feel sick.
didnt we spend about 12 months talking about this?
its like deja vu, but on another team.
but it seriously makes my head hurt.

It sounds like a good way to get his head on straight defensively. He could have played better defense here and maybe kept his job. If O'Brien can get that out of TJ then good on him.

There's no way Jack starts ahead of TJ.

This is more like the coach giving his backup motivation.

nobody wants to start the training camp and think that their coach already has the starting 5, and the coaches also know that.

you guys are reading wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much into this.
