Pistons Detroit turns down Caron butler/1st round pick for Prince?

If true, Dumars has lost his mind.

The Pistons will not deal Tayshaun Prince to Dallas for Caron Butler and a first round pick.

Detroit hopes to re-sign Prince and believe they can get value in return for him as a sign-and-trade if they are unable to agree to a new deal.

Tayshaun is an expiring and is still serviceable. He could be resigned for cheap.

Butler isn't the same player he was in Washington and the pick would be high 20's. I probably would have declined too.

Horrible horrible horrible idea to turn down that trade, Prince brings nothing to the Pistons now and for the future.

Weak draft plus I think Prince brings more to the table.

If Pistons plan on bringing Prince back why take the deal like DK said? Right now for the 27th first round pick in this draft?

The better questions would be what does DET see in Prince?
