Pistons Detroit Basketball!!!

This team without A.I is playing amazing and playing as a team. They put effort into their game and their offence and defence has been much better without A.I. When iverson comes back, what should his role be, starter, 6th man?

6th man for sure and the coach already said that that's what it'll be

Rip Hamilton was just saying that he reallly missed Chauncey Billups...they had planned to retire together as Pistons. The team plays so much better with Rip starting....AI just really isn't working out.

And yet AI will get the blame for their downfall.

The truth is they quit playing that the day Chauncey was moved.

thats a load of shit acie.
you think grown men just packed it in 4 games into the season as an act of rebellion?
they werent happy, and that affected their play. but they did not give up and lay down. c'mon.

i guess denver decided to play their asses off when AI left too right?

Yes.

I think the trade took completely took the wind out of their sails. Chauncey was their leader, their go to guy and he was traded to save money. One of their remaining leaders was completely misled and lied to by Dumars. What kind of message does that send to the team?

No one is disputing the fact that Billups is better than AI or that obviously Denver needed a PG more than they needed Iverson.

Double ballhogs on teams don't work, this is why Denver is happy.

I think AI can do pretty good coming off the bench, a 20+ scoring machine coming off the bench during droughts?

The fact that DET seems to be playing better with AI makes me v v happy. I have always been an AI hater and this just puts a smile on my face.

Also, Billups has to be one of the most underrated players in the entire league. Sure, die-hard NBA fans and intelligent observers understand how good he is, but as a whole, the NBA fan-base certainly takes him for granted. If I had to rank PG's I'd have quite a hard time doing so but the only clear-cut favorite over him would be CP3, and even that isn't a truly easy decision.

AI's role should be to stay home and pretend to be injured.

Detroit continues to suck without Iverson, losing to the bulls and dropping 2 games below .500.
If this team goes anywhere, it's going to be Iverson who leads them.

I'm sure the haters here will find a way to still put the blame on AI.

Now it'll be, "if he was healthy he could help out a struggling team."

If you don't think trading their best player and leader away to save cash didn't have a profound influence on the results we're seeing then I don't know what else to say to you.
