Default DeShawn vs. LeBron: War of the Words

What the hell ... are these two still in high school?

"I hope we play Cleveland," Stevenson said. "I'm going to get Soulja Boy courtside seats and have him wear a DeShawn Stevenson jersey. Maybe (James) can have Jay-Z there since LeBron's all on his (shorts) anyway."

Stevenson wasn't done. "And tell LeBron to cut that beard off and stop copying me."

I mean, it's great for fans, and even greater for reporters, and nirvana for bloggers, but couldn't he start a beef with, say, Sasha Pavlovic instead? Why's it gotta be LeBron? AndWhy, exactly, has DeShawn gone certifiable in recent days? The previous Wiz Insider post has more:

Apparently, James said something about DeShawn to former Cav Drew Gooden, who recently related that information to DeShawn. He didn't appreciate it.

"We're all in the same profession," Stevenson said. "We don't need to talk bad about one another. So, that's how it happened. I was ticked off and that's why I said something to him at tip-off. So, it goes back further than people think."

I asked DeShawn if what James said was basketball-related or personal and he said: "It was both. I won't say what he said. I said something back and we'll leave it at that."

Maybe James, who wears a beard, is jealous of the one Stevenson is growing? Stevenson with a laugh: "I don't know what he's jealous of. He makes more money than me that's for sure."

The only thing I don't like in this story is LBJ running to Drew Gooden to say something. I mean everyone knows that DeShawn and Gooden are close friends, hell reported every time I believe, so why say something to a friend? If you've got the onions to say something, might as well tell him straight to their face.

LeBron gave a pretty good comparison tho. For a scrub to be taking to a top player in the league is a joke, he looking for press or something. Every1 knows what happens when u talk trash to LeBron, ask Bosh's gf or Spike Lee :P

LeBron kept it to whoever was on his team etc, he didnt go to the media speaking this idiots name, now this guy looking for some attention he cant get without bringing up LeBron, his comparison is perfect, its like when a wack rapper disses one of the greats hoping for retaliation.. gg SCRUB
