Seems someone forget to tell Derrick that pt is earned in the NBA and not just given. He's not doing himself any Favors by publicly coming out and dropping a veiled threat at his organization. What a dumbass ![]() |

favours has earned his time, the only problem is that they have jefferson and milsap starting with kanter in the wings. they're gonna have to make some decisions, and the right one would be looking to send out jefferson and give favours his minutes. there's really nothing dumb ass about his comments. he's just saying that they need to commit to him.

I dont think Utah knows which route they want to take yet. If I was them, I'd look to trade Jefferson for picks and a younger player, and then run a rotation of Millsap/Kanter with Favors getting all of the minutes as the backup big much like the Lakers did with Odom when he was in LA. Favors did play really well for most of last season especially with increased minutes, but it's hard to get around 30 mpg with both Millsap and Jefferson starting and needing their minutes.
Jefferson is what he is now. He's a 2nd or 3rd option on a really good team, but you need a bunch of guys around him that can hide his defensive deficiencies and not wanting to pass. Hes basically ZBo before he got to MEM and learned how to be a willing passer and good passer out of doubles |

I think Thriller hit the nail on the head with Utah having an identity crisis. Jefferson and Favors are very different players, personally I like Favors defense though it's not a 'wow' type deal for me. I would like to see Kanter and Jefferson work out - much like Zbo/Gasol - nice balanced front court. Although Favors/Jefferson and Favors/Kanter(based on potential) are nice in the front as well - I've been unimpressed with Kanter so far...really hope thats more to do with the shortened season with little practice time. I would think this is the year that this identity issue will get resolved, as the year after Utah has zero players under guaranteed contracts. Last edited by DocHoliday99; 08-23-2012 at 12:03 PM. |

"Contract year is something in the back of your mind," he said. "I'm not thinking about it right now, but probably during the season if I'm not playing a lot then I'll probably start thinking about it." certainly that says a lot. I'm nit picky these days, wish these players will just play and keep the rest behind closed doors. They just don't do themselves any favors ![]() Last edited by DocHoliday99; 08-23-2012 at 12:12 PM. |

Was he musing thoughts or answering a question? He didn't need to answer it the way he did, but he did. He's being honest.
We've all helped knock down the doors!! All-access!! Don't pretend you don't love it!! |

I'm not so sure to be honest. I never really wanted the 'all access' - maybe from the point of behind the scenes, training, etc. This other drama stuff has only made me cynical to the purity of the sport and to the players. Not so much the owners oddly enough.
