Knicks Deron Williams wants to be a Knick?

I read this on CBS.

Yay. I love Deron as a player and I've enjoyed his time in Utah but I'll say if he joins the Knicks he'll enter into the stratosphere of most hated player for me.

Quote:
Ken Berger of CBSSports.com dropped a bombshell Saturday night amid talk of a Dolan-Isiah-Walsh conflict over Melo, the Nets' meeting with Anthony, and this whole ugly mess. From Berger:

A person with knowledge of the conversations told CBSSports.com on Saturday that Jazz point guard Deron Williams began informing close associates after last season that if Stoudemire wound up in New York, Williams would follow him there as a free agent in 2012. If the Knicks got Anthony with the three-year extension under current rules, it is not clear whether they'd have enough cap space to add a player such as Williams, Chris Paul or Dwight Howard when the trio become unrestricted free agents after next season.

NBA is building a Miami - Knicks Rivalry. It's pretty disgusting how corrupt this league is.

No kidding. You never heard any of these rumours in the past about current players yearning to play on other teams.

There needs to be some severe fines for this BS.

Well, there's already the D12 to LA in 2012 rumors so, yep. They're looking to keep the established markets strong.

Thank you NBA for showing who you care about.

Deron is wasting his time in Utah anyways, its good if he goes to N.Y. Stoudemire can't do it alone.

What is he doing in Utah right now? He is arguably the best point guard in the NBA, with him going to N.Y. it could be a dynasty. Same goes for Chris Paul, he should goto another team too.

ppl getting upset over SPECULATION. there is not one single quote in there. come down with the hate towards players wanting to goto certain teams.

you don't even know if this is true. this CBS reporter or his source could be talking out of their ass (like the majority of rumors around the league)

Meh, good luck with that. IMO, Amare doesn't have much time left as an elite player, and while Melo is a great scorer, he's also a notorious ball stopper and sub-par defender. Even with Paul or D-Will, I don't think that's a championship squad.
