Default Dejuan Blair performance

28 points and 21 rebounds in 30 minutes of PT. Spurs win in OT. Need I say more?

Nice.

I actually noticed he only played 7 mins yesterday and scores 0 pts, as starter. wondered about that but I guess it just wasn't his night yesterday.

If he had 2 more points he would have been the youngest player to ever record a 30-20 game.

pretty sick performance, what happened to Mcdyess though? He was playing great basketball during the second half of last season, thought he'd be a good addition to the Spurs but he hasn't done much and considering how Blair's playing, just give the kid the minutes.

Well, I just realized that Al Jefferson has 26 points and 26 rebounds in triple OT!

Age is catching up with McDyess. He had a great 4th quarter in this game though.

Spurs.. overall the best winning percentage in the past decade in professional sports, why you ask? Strong draft picks, shows you how a medium market franchise can become dynasties.

Seriously, though, Granny, we'll have to see where Blair is at 4 years from now. So many teams passed up on him because the NBA doctors who evaluated him said that the lack of ACL's will cause leg problems down the road. Blair looks great now, but his future may not be bright. For his sake, I hope the doctors are wrong.

I agree completely. His play warrants a modicum of excitement, but there's always that thought in the back of your mind: his career could be over at any time. Hopefully he can stay healthy, produce, and be yet another in a long history of smart Spurs picks.

It comes down to effort. That is why I blame the Raptors players instead of the coaches for there utter lack of effort on the boards by some of their bigs. Do you teach 21 rebounds and 6 a game in 16 minutes? Of course not, you have to want it and a guy thats barely 6'6 and has knees on him like an 10 year old race horse went out and wanted it 21 times last night!

I hope the guy sticks around for a long time because he is good.
