Dejuan Blair.........??

Where was Dejuan Blair in the 1st round. I had predicted he wouldn't go very high, certainly not in the lottery but i though he'd be snatched up in the 20ish area??

Was it his lack of height, most likely the glass knees! Surprising any way you look at it.

Then we agree to disagree. I don't think he'll be there at 17. The Pistons at 15 could use a player like Blair.

Glass knees? He had his surgery in High School. He sure looks to have nicely rebounded from that.

A very San Antonio-esque move. Under the radar, should help the team out. Maybe this means they don't need to bring Drew Gooden back?

The fact that you made a thread to laugh at him shows you have absolutely no class.

I think Philly got a steal with Holiday at their pick (17?) and the Pistons got a steal when they drafted Budinger in the 2nd round (before they dealt him to Houston)

Holliday was the ideal pick for Philadelphia. Now Andre Miller is expendable and they've got a young, top-tier replacement for him.

not too sure about top-tier, but he does fit perfectly on that team. there were lots of steals last night - guys dropping that i never expected to drop that far. it was a deep draft. not deep in terms of stars, but deep in terms of quality players.

Ahhhhhh bullshit. Look at my original post, i wasn't laughing at him and therefore i din't start this thread to specifically laugh at him as you said. In fact i said how surprising it was that he dropped that far. Mostly i was laughing later on as i thought of the things that were said to me when i suggested he'd drop out of the lottery and possibly into the 20's.

And me laughing was just remembering how alot here were so sure he'd be picked 10-15th and how adament they were about it.

But i will agree about one thing, the Spurs certainly got a steal. Because if he can stay healthy he will be an asset for them imo.

There is a player or two like this every draft. The knee issues obviously scared teams off. Otherwise it makes no sense really! Unless they think he's undersized for the NBA? But 37th??

I know eh, I really like Blair's game and personality. He's gonna be a solid player, I wish we would've got 'em in the 2nd round.
